 Accordionist Renée de la Prade releases ‘Notes From Underground’, her first solo CD in early June. Renée says, “In addition to the funny pop songs ‘Gutterpunk’, ‘Nerd Love’, ‘Oaktown’, ‘Hey Robbie’, there are sweet ballads, Motown, New Orleans, Afro-Cuban grooves, and of course a wee bit of traditional Irish and French music. Every track is guaranteed danceable”. Further details are on Renée de la Prade’s website.Renée plays accordion and sings in a variety of styles - her eclectic music spans from traditional French and Irish to 1980's pop-punk to funny songs and children's music. She's happy to book gigs solo, duo, trio, or with a full band. When she's not performing, she repairs accordions at Smythe's Accordion Center in Oakland, CA.
