 Accordionist João Gentil and drummer Luis Formiga were recently on tour in London, Ontario, Canada. João Gentil was this year’s special guest at the Portuguese traditional annual event ‘Party’, organised for the 34th time by the Portuguese community leaders, Sr. Joaquim Delgado and Sr. Amandio Carvalho, from the London Portuguese Club - www.portugueseclublondon.ca. The event took place at in the Portuguese club on 20th and 21st June, for a large audience of about 400 people. For this event João Gentil and Luis Formiga performed mostly Portuguese traditional and folk music for the mainly Portuguese emigrants in Canada. On June 19th another evening took place at the Aroma Restaurant, one of the finest Mediterranean places in town, with a musical program of classics, jazz and an international repertoire.
