| The ‘Arrasate Hiria’ festival, organised by Hauspoz (Basque Association of Accordion Players), includes international and national competitions, concerts, lectures, and workshops, and takes place from December 5th to 8th in the Town Hall, Hermani, Arrasate-Mondragón (Basque Country), Gipuzkoa, Northern Spain. The festival includes the prestigious ‘Arrasate – Hiria’ International Music Competition for accordion soloists, for all nationalities and without age limit. Attractive prizes, trophies, diplomas and special awards are available for all competitors. Hauspoz, founded in 1974, is a member of the CIA (Confederation Internationale des Accordeonistes - IMC - UNESCO) and its main aims are to improve the accordion education in Schools, and raise the performing and pedagogic level of accordionists.
