 环球手风琴新闻曾于1998年8月7日登载了 Kevin Friedrich撰写的有关 AAA发起在纽约举办大师讲习班的新闻, 组织者和领导者是德高望重的 William Schimmel博士. 那年活动的主题是杂耍和休闲. 今年的活动刚刚举行, 主题为 ‘Redemption: The Radar off the Radar’. 在舞蹈妻子Micki Goodman的支持和协助下, Schimmel博士再次大方且富有创造性的组织了这一活动， 这一活动不同以往. 我们希望今年的互动能够如愿取得成功. ACCORDION CIRCUS IN THE BIG APPLE - USA Contributed by Kevin Friedrich Dr William Schimmel moderated a three-day series of workshops and concerts at what has become an annual affair, sponsored by the American Accordionists' Association. Discussions centered on the significance of competitions and contests in the accordion world, and the need for versatility of the accordionist in New York, which regularly ranges from Carnegie Hall, Broadway/Off Broadway to Frozen Yogurt commercials. A capacity audience was present at the Tenri Institute Theatre, in the Guggenheim Museum for a varied concert which included "The Lee & Bill Digital Circus" performing "The Vague Panther" (digital flute and accordion), Dr Schimmel giving a first accordion lesson to Ilona Vellios (who learnt popular Russian songs during the course of her 20 minute lesson) and "A Yiddish Festival of Song" performed by Schimmel and Paul Stein. The evening concluded with "The Rite of Fall" with Micki Goodman (dancer and choreographer) and Bill Schimmel. |
