Mirco Patarini Featured At Sell Out Concert in Istanbul - Turkey

Click each picture to see full size
Mirco PatariniMirco Patarini, President of the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA), a member of the International Music Council (IMC), official NGO partner of UNESCO, President of Scandalli Accordions, performed in concert in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul, Turkey on January 29th, 2024.

Mirco performed with the Beylikdüzü Youth Symphony Orchestra (BGSO), a 60 member group conducted by Hakan Tepeli. His performance included repertoire by Astor Piazzolla, Ennio Moricone, Roberto Molinelli and other composers.

This concert orchestra, blended with the richness of the accordion sound, could not only be heard but also seen with the painter Serivan Tutus's brush, who opened the doors of thinking with music and activated emotions. The improvised picture content, which attracted attention while listening to the music, also directed the audience's gaze. The aesthetics of painting's spontaneity emerged as a result of music. With this feature, the concert fascinated the audience with its social art therapy quality.

Prior to this concert, Mirco Patarini was the guest of Ercüment Gürçay on the Açik Radio-"Voices after Babel" program, where he talked about the place of the accordion in his life and the situation of accordion in the world. He also played his accordion during the interview.

Mirco was also interviewed on Beylikdüzü TV, where he delighted his audience with his stories and music.

We thank Mirco Patarini and also Mr. Taner Çetin, Head of Press and Public Relations Department of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and our Founder, and Mr. Serdal Mumcu, Deputy Mayor of Beylikdüzü Municipality, who both came on stage after the concert and expressed their special thanks to our young orchestrator and the important guest artist.

Zekiye Yilmaz (Istanbul).
