The competitions start Wednesday morning and there will be video of every Coupe Mondiale contestants performances and the concerts, provided by the CIA Video Archive and Education Project. The 76th Coupe Mondiale will be held from 5 - 9 September 2023 in Bijeljina, Bosnia and Herzgovina, hosted by the CIA member Association of Artists (Bijeljina), contact person: Slaviša Peric. Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) Secretary General Kimmo Mattila writes: "The CIA congratulates the 2023 Coupe Mondiale host, Association of Artists (Bijeljina) upon attracting an excellent 112 entries from 23 countries for the 76th Coupe Mondiale." The 150th CIA International General Assembly of Delegates will have two Congress during the event. CIA President Mirco Patarini writes: “My best welcome to all people that will attend the 76th Coupe Mondiale, and my warm wishes to all competitors. We will have a great event with real music in a live situation, and all our young players will have the chance to express their talent without limits. Good luck!!"  The "20th KlezMORE Festival Vienna" will be held at a variety of venues in Vienna, Austria from November 4th to 19th, 2023. The festival director since inception is Friedl Preisl.Details as follows: • November 8th at 7.30pm: Klezmer Reloaded Extended (picture left) which features accordionist Alexander Shevchenko. They play Jewish music from Eastern and Southeastern Europe mixed with jazz, salsa & tango. • November 9th at 7.30pm: Daniel Kahn & Jake Shulman-Ment (USA) • November 11th at 7.30pm: Shmaltz Band which features accordionist Calypsia Bradzbudjamon • November 18th at 7.30pm: Styrian Klezmore Orchestra which features accordionist Ivan Trenev • November 19th at 7.30pm: Vienna Klezmore Orchestra (picture below). | Coba will perform in the "Music Festival of the Soul Mabuioto vol.14" presented by Gangala Valley on November 18th and 19th, 2023. The festival is “A banquet to love people, nature, and music” at the Gangala Valley Cave Café, Nanjo City, Okinawa, Japan. The coming year 2024 has a great highlight in store for you:From May 9 to 12, 2024, our next World Harmonica Championship will take place for the 4th time, in the idyllic Ausservillgraten! At the same time we celebrate 25 years of the World Harmonica Championship! In 1999 the 1st World Championship was also held in Tyrol, Austria. The Austrian National Championships for Styrian Harmonica and folk music groups also expect many candidates. The announcement will be made in October! Ausservillgraten is worth a trip again!  Video: excerpt from a concert by Veronica Bell and Stanislav Angelov.Stanislav Angelov (picture left) will perform with Veronica Bell (violin) at the Doornboom Opstal Fouriehuis (Doornboom Homestead Fourie House) in Heidelberg Western Cape, South Africa as part of the Hessequa Harmonie Festival on September 20th, 2023. The Hessequa Harmonie festival will run from September 19th to 23rd, 2023 with daily concerts from a variety of artists. Stanislav’s concert entitled “Tango en Tanniene” is a “music and wine pairing…with the Pinotage king, Beyers Truter, together on one stage.   Le festival d'accordéon 2023 se tiendra à l'église de toutes les nations à Carlton, Victoria, Australie le 30 septembre 2023 de 10h à 21h, présenté par la Société d'accordéon d'Australie (Vic).L'événement comprendra des concerts du Prahran Accordion Band, des Stiletto Sisters, des orchestres et des spectacles d'étudiants. Des ateliers seront organisés par : - Lucy Riddett (photo à gauche) qui proposera un atelier de 90 minutes sur la façon de jouer son style d'accordéon préféré : Le musette français. Au cours de cet atelier, vous apprendrez la bonne technique pour créer un son classique de musette française, y compris la tonalité, le toucher, la dynamique et plus encore. - Richard Stacewicz (photo ci-dessus à droite) qui traitera de l'accordéon numérique. Vous aimez l'idée de jouer de différents types d'accordéons pour vous adapter à de nombreux styles de musique ? - Masterclass de George Butrumlis qui s'engagera avec chaque étudiant pour critiquer leur performance et donner un aperçu de la relation de l'étudiant avec l'accordéon. - Réparation et réglage de l'accordéon avec Peter Anderson, qui fera une démonstration du réglage des anches, du travail sur les soupapes, de l'épilation à la cire, etc. Voir l'affiche pour plus de détails. |

| Video: Tekla Klebetnica performing Skowronek - (Pacsirta, Skylark, Ciocârlia). Polish group, Tekla Klebetnica have just released their new CD: "Összhang – Harmony", produced by "MRKJ - Összhang - Lengyel Magyar Produkció - Waclaw Felczak Alapítvány". The group features accordionist Zygmunt Czupryn, who is also the Scandalli distributor in Poland. The album is the result of a magical collaboration between the band and musicians from "Lajos Sarkozy Jr. Band", and features “sensual melodies, expressive instrumentation, temperament and deep, captivating and emotional singing.” For details email: info@teklaband.pl |

| Accordionist Saso Avsenik will perform with his Oberkrainer ensemble at Ölmühle Eberstedt in Eberstedt, Thuringia, Germany on September 23rd, 2023. The event, which is organised by Ölmühle Eberstedt, will celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Oberkrainer Music. | The Romano Viazzani Ensemble will perform a London Tango concert at the Chester Cathedral in Chester, England, UK on September 30th, 2023 from 7.30pm. The ensemble will “bring their unique take on tango along with traditional Argentine Tango and the Tangos of Astor Piazzolla to the wonderful setting of Chester Cathedral’s Refectory.” The ensemble features Romano Viazzani (accordion & bandoneon), John Bailey (piano), Barbara Dziewiecka-Data (violin), Nick Pini (double bass), Jonathan Preiss (guitar) and vocalists Joanna Strand and Jacqui Tate. |

| Record du monde Guinness atteint lors du festival d'art de l'accordéon Xin Jiang Ta Cheng 2023. Vidéo ci-dessus des 2525 accordéonistes en direct, plus 2003 vérifiés en ligne pour un total de 4528 accordéonistes. Le rapport complet de cet énorme événement à Ta Cheng, en Chine, est disponible en ligne à l'adresse suivante : 2023Tacheng Il y a probablement plus d'accordéonistes par habitant à Tacheng que dans n'importe quelle autre ville du monde. Tacheng se trouve dans la région autonome ouïgoure du Xinjiang, en Chine, et il faut plus de 5 heures de vol depuis Hong Kong, Shanghai ou Pékin pour s'y rendre, à proximité de la frontière du Kazakhstan. À titre de comparaison, le trajet Londres-Moscou dure 3 heures et 40 minutes. Le China Daily Times (édition anglaise) a écrit : "Surnommée la "ville de l'accordéon", Tacheng possède une histoire et un héritage riches en matière d'accordéon.  Vidéo : Première mondiale à Chicago.Une première mondiale très réussie de "Meditato" composée par Gorka Hermosa a été interprétée par Grayson Masefield au Festival international (ATG) de la Guilde des accordéonistes et des enseignants 2023 à Chicago. Reportage photo sur : http://www.accordions.com/atg/2023report.php « Meditato » (2023) est une méditation sur l'irrationalité de la barbarie humaine qui a été commandée par l'ATG grâce à la présidente de l'ATG, Mary Ann Covone et Harley Jones. Lorsqu'il a été contacté pour la commande, Gorka Hermosa a proposé une pièce mélodique, car la plupart des œuvres commandées qu'il reçoit sont des pièces virtuoses. Il pensait qu'il était plus profond d'aller dans la direction opposée avec une œuvre mélodique. Gorka écrit : « Meditato tente d'exprimer la désolation de mon âme face à des actes barbares comme je l'ai montré précédemment dans Gernika (1994) et dans Fragilissimo (2000), en montrant que tout dépend du point de vue et de notre incapacité à comprendre le point de vue des gens qui pensent le contraire de nous. Pour composer "Meditato", j'ai écouté les principales pièces mélodiques écrites pour accordéon (Romance d'Angelis, Kalina Krasnaya de Semionov...), la musique d'Albeniz, Satie, Debussy... et finalement j'ai trouvé l'inspiration en écoutant Rachmaninov (pour l'introduction de la pièce) et Villalobos (Bachiana Brasileira nº5) pour le reste de la pièce, en partant de l'improvisation sur son harmonie, pour écrire ce que j'ai finalement composé en cette pièce." Grayson Masefield a interprété la première chinoise de "Meditato" lors d'un concert à Chengdu la semaine dernière, devant plus de 9 000 spectateurs supplémentaires sur Internet. "Meditato" a reçu un accueil enthousiaste du public aux États-Unis et en Chine, où l'œuvre a également été jouée en concert à Tacheng la semaine dernière.
