 On the 6th of May 1829, 180 years ago the Austrian Cyrill Demian in deposit in Vienna, a patent for an instrument with the name of "Accordion". The 6th May is therefore regarded as the “birthday” of the instrument "accordion". Throughout the world, various events will take place to celebrate this day including in Salzburg: Akkord - On - Stage does not want to miss such an important day and has organised for this date a concert in the Musikschule Bergheim (Dorfstrasse 26, 5101 Bergheim). During this "International Day of the Accordion" at 2pm, 3pm and 6 pm various musical events are happening. Soloist concerts by our young artists from Salzburg and Upper Austria, a contribution of the large accordion orchestra - Harmony Salzburg, a concert of the famous accordion ensemble "Klavitoniker" and also, the option of an “accordion trial” for all those interested, to start learning the accordion.
