Concurso Nacional de Acordeón de Shanghái 2009-Chinaby Harley Jones |
 Este certamen de primavera tendrá lugar del 1 al 3 de Mayo y contará con más de 400 inscripciones para esta nueva edición. El 70% de los inscritos al concurso pertenecen a la categoría Entertainment. Esta competición es la más importante en este género musical en China.El concurso nacional de Shanghai es además un importante evento de preparación para la 64 edición de la Coupe mondiale en 2011 en la misma ciudad. El profesor Li Cong, organizador del concurso manifestó:“Me he mantenido promocionando el acordeón en China desde el 2006. En ese momento, no había apenas actuaciones de acordeón entertainment en nuestro pais. Después del gran esfuerzo realizado, la situación parece ser muy diferente. Muchos jóvenes acordeonistas, incluidos los estudiantes de conservatorios, están ahora interesados en este estilo y han comenzado a aprenderlo.” Durante el certamen, los estudiantes de Shanghai realizarán un concierto de acordeón entertainment. “Un presupuesto cercano a 100.000 RMB será utilizado para adquirir un attrezzo especial mas una excelente iluminación y sonido. Creo que el concierto será muy interesante”. Este evento ha sido dedicado a la celebración del World Accordion Day.  Acordeones Manfrini ha comenzado otra vez su producción después de más de 30 años. Esta compañía produce acordeones hechos a mano con una producción máxima de 100 unidades al año. Todos los acordeones son adaptados a cada cliente en función de sus preferencias.Robert Rolston, originario de Escocia pero actualmente afincado en Italia, ha creado la compañía Manfrini Rolston en unión con Ercolano Manfrini.  El 19 de Abril, un significativo concierto con el título de “Su le rive dell’oblio” tuvo lugar en el Teatro delle Muse en Ancona con Alessandro Mugnoz al acordeón y Claudia Menghi al piano.El programa contó con música de George C. Lickl (1801-1877) Sonata op. 40 para piano y acordeón”, Angelo Panzini (1820-1886)- “Grande Sonata para Piano y acordeón”, Charles-Marie Widor (1845-1937)- “Humoresca y marcha nupcial” (6 duos para harmonio y acordeón) y Felice Lattuada (1882-1962)- “Sulle rive dell’oblio” (arreglada para acordeón y piano por A. Mugnoz). Un pre-concierto fue llevado acabo en Castelfidardo el 9 de Abril en el auditorio “Binci Mordini Palace, en presencia de una selecta audiencia constituida por músicos. Los dos conciertos fueron muy apreciados por sus respectivos públicos y son parte del resultado de la búsqueda realizada estos años por Alessandro Mugnoz: repertorio de música de cámara que incluye acordeón en el siglo XIX (repertorio casi olvidado y todavía inexplorado). Ellos también tienen un propósito inicial a nivel cultural. El resultado de esta búsqueda, es la colaboración entre la asociación “New Italian Musical Learning Center” y el “Centro internacional de estudios del acordeón” emplazado en Castelfidardo.  Fourteen year old Stephanie Sass, from Wasenbach, Germany, an accordion student of the Rhein-Lahn-Kreis Musikschule, received in a single day two trophies - as a national accordion champion in Rhineland-Palatinate, and Rhenish Ludwigshafen champion in athletics in Koblenz.In December 2008 she was the winner of the Assistance Association District Music School, the annual 2 best soloists from approximately 900 music students. Since 2001, Stephanie has taken accordion lesions with Viktor Dupper from Bad Ems, a former accordion teacher of the internationally well known accordionist Veronika Todorova.  The World Music Band Charco, will offer its public showcase on April 28th, 8.30pm, at the Paul McCartney Auditorium, Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. The ticket costs £2 per person. Charco will offer a set of original music plus Richard Galliano and Astor Piazzolla's covers. Their influences are Spanish, Latin and Eastern European music.  On the 3rd of May, 1pm at the Great Hall of the Rostov State Philharmonic, there will be a concert dedicated to World Day of Accordion. The concert is titled "Accordion Plus". This year, for the first time, the world will celebrate World Accordion Day, as an event approved by the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) - a member of the International Music Counci (IMC), UNESCO. The concert will be attended by Russian stars: Honored Artists of Russia Yuri Shishkin and Anatoly Zaikin, winners of international competitions: Andrew Statsenko, Alexander Poeluev, Alexander Letunov, Arthur Kazarian, ensembles of "New-Centropezn jazz quartet", "Uzory", " Cherkassy", " Ani ", "ARTIS", "Domino", "Foggy Dew", famous harmonica player Victor Skolozubov and many others. |

The venue is The Bell House, 149 7th Street, between 2nd & 3rd Ave, Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York.  Aisha and Victor, a couple of tango dancers and teachers from Buenos Aires, Argentina, are just about to start their European Tango Tour 2009 - from May 15th until the beginning of October.This year’s tour includes Europe with a new spectacle. This year´s ´special´ is a tango performance connecting dancing tango and playing music, a fusion of tango and folk music. The show features the transformation of a musician into a tango dancer, playing tango music - romantic and sensual, and original. The show includes a 4 minute live concert on accordion.   The Wazemmes Accordion Festival takes place at la maison Folie Wazemmes and other venues in Lille, from June 19th to 25th. It is anticipated that over 20, 000 spectators will attend this festival. A press conference takes place on May 7th, 11.30am, at the Grand Bleu, 36 avenue Marx Dormoy – Lille. On this occasion the festival programming involving about 60 events will be outlined.
