Final Concert of Nikola Jelic at Anton Bruckner Private University – Austria

The final concert of Nikola Jelic was held at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz, Austria last week.

Nikola Jelic has been studying the accordion at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz since 2011 with Alfred Melichar, where he completed his artistic bachelor’s degree in 2017 and his pedagogical bachelor’s degree in 2020. He is a multiple prize winner of national and international accordion competitions. Since 2013 he has been collaborating with Austrian contemporary composers, whose works he premiered.

He has been involved in numerous projects initiated by the Linz State Music Theater, the Anton Bruckner Private University, the Music School of the City of Linz, the Serbian Orthodox Church and Serbian associations. Since 2018 he has been a member of various ensembles - Greek trio "Orpheus", tango quintet "El Cabeceo", world music trio "Art Hoc". In 2020 he joined the band "The Folks" and band "Musicarina" in 2022.

He put the program of his diploma examination under the motto "Akkordeon da Kamera" and included works by Toshio Hosokawa (In the depth of time for clarinet and accordion), Alexander Wagendristel (Into The Headwind for accordion trio), Fritz Keil (mélange à trois for Accordion Trio), Odysseas Manidakis (Dyonisus for accordion, bouzouki, guitar and percussion), Erich Karl Mayr (La Mano derecha del Diablo (Art Hoc) Apropos (Art Hoc)), Francisco Canaro (Corazon de Oro (El Cabeceo Tango Quintet)), Angel D'Agostino (Cafe Dominguez (El Cabeceo Tango Quintet)), Anibal Troilo (Quejas de Bandoneon (El Cabeceo Tango Quintet)).
