 The Matthew MacLennan Trio perform as guests at the Glenfarg Accordion & Fiddle Club on Wednesday July 6th, 8pm. The venue is Glenfarg Village Hall, Greenbank Rd, Glenfarg PH2 9NU. The organizer is Russell Robertson.Edinburgh-based Matthew MacLennan began playing the accordion at the age of seven, and has been playing with bands and as a soloist for functions regularly since he was 15. Matthew has been a multiple prize winner in accordion competitions: National Association of Accordion and Fiddle Clubs - Overall Senior Champion (2009, 2011, 2013), Senior Pipe Music Champion (2005, 2009, 2013), Senior Traditional Accordion Champion 2013; Highlands and Islands Music and Dance Festival, Oban - Invitational Accordion Masters Winner (2004, 2005, 2006); All Scotland Accordion Festival, Perth - Senior Pipe Music Champion (2010), and has been a finalist in the All Scotland Accordion Championship numerous times since 2002.
