National Selection for International Competitions, St. Petersburg – Russiaby Yulia Amerikova |

 In St. Petersburg, 19th June, was held a national qualification for the 2016 Coupe Mondiale and 2016 Trophee Mondial. These competitions are held under the auspices of the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) and CMA, respectively. According to the rules of these organizations, candidates must selected and approved by the national member association. The selection took place in the hall, Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory at the initiative of associate professor Vladimir Orlov with the support of the "Russian Alliance Harmonica and Accordion Performers” and Vice-President of the CIA Music Committee, tutor of Gnessin Academy of Music, Alexander Selivanov. The qualifying jury (picture above, left to right) consisted of famous musicians: Alexander Selivanov (Moscow), Mirco Patarini (President of the Music Committee of CIA, Italy), Yulia Amerikova (Moscow), Vladimir Orlov (St. Petersburg). The selection was attended by one ensemble (picture below) and 13 soloists from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Petrozavodsk. Candidates performed programs, according to the requirements of their competition category. The following candidates were selected: Coupe Mondiale (CIA): - Nazary Levitsky (Moscow), category Junior Coupe; - Danil Loginov (Khimki), category Junior Coupe (picture right); - Aleksey Alekseev (Moscow), category Masters Coupe; - Anar Guseinov (Moscow), category Masters Coupe. Trophee Mondial (CMA): - Nikita Alymov (St. Petersburg), category National Trophee 17 and under; - Georgy Nikolaev (St. Petersburg), category National Trophee 17 and under; - Nazary Levitsky (Moscow), category Junior Classique; - Anar Guseinov (Moscow), category Masters; - Arkady Shkvorov (St. Petersburg), category Master; - Quarteto – Viktor Akulov, Rita Gaidotina, Alexander Gorevanov, Andrey Pigilev (Petrozavodsk), category World Music Project. The 2016 Coupe Mondiale will be held in Rostov-on-Don, Russia from 11th to 17th of September. The host organization is "IMC Harmony", Art Director Alexander Poeluev. The 2016 Trophee Mondial will take place from 27th of September to 1st of October in Portimao, Portugal. |
