Category I - Accordion orchestras, without age limit ( with a minimum of 10 components including the rhythm section) with a predominantly classical repertoire.

The contestants in category I should present a program of their choice lasting no more than 40 minutes. As well as the trophies (for the first three places) there will also be special prizes and bursaries.



Category L - Orchestras and groups without age limit, with a minimum of 2 components either formed mainly of accordions or formed of other instruments but where the accordion has a predominant role. The repertoire should be predominantly of light music or jazz.

The contestants in Category L should present a program of their choice lasting no more than 30 minutes. Category L is a category for light music from all over the world (not only French variete) and also Jazz. As well as the trophies (for the first three places) there will also be special prizes and bursaries.



Category M - Soloists (accordion and bandoneon) and bands – no age limit and no limit for the number of members.

The presence in the band of an accordion or bandoneon is compulsory. Bands (obviously preserving the name) are allowed to change their members (according to the requirements of the musical compositions), within the terms established.

Competitors in Category M must perform a free choice program lasting max. 30 minutes. In addition to the artistic trophy (to the first three classified), special prizes will be awarded by the organizers, as well as scholarships.




Category Premio (Prize) for accordion concert-soloists (no age limit) - 2 rounds

In the first round the competitors performing in the PREMIO for accordion concert-soloists category will play:

- two dances (without refrains) from one of the “French Suites” (BWV 812-817) by Johann Sebastian Bach and a programme chosen by the competitor including at least one piece from the original accordion musical literature of the following countries: Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. The duration time in the first audition is 30 minutes (including the compulsory piece).

Those admitted to the second round will play:

- a programme chosen by the competitor including at least one piece from the original accordion musical literature of the following countries: Independent Sates Community, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, USA, Canada and ex-Yugoslavia. The duration time in the second audition is 30 minutes. Competitors in the soloist categories cannot present free choice programmes consisting entirely in transcriptions.

In addition to the artistic trophy (to the first three winners of each category), special prizes will be awarded by the organizers, as well as scholarships.

Andrea Ballone Burini of Ballone Burini presents another prize for Premio winner Viacheslav Bondarenko being a top model accordion from the Ballone Burini accordion factory. Viacheslav Bondarenko played twice finishing with a Strauss arrangement, very popular with the audience.
