The first competition category of the 35th International Castelfidard Competition and Festival was Category G, which is the Junior Variety category.

LIGHT MUSIC SECTION Cat. G - Soloists up to the age of 18 (born in 1992 onwards) one audition

Competitors in category G must perform a free choice programme lasting max. 15 minutes. Category G is a Light Music Category from all countries and all styles (not only French Varieté) and also Jazz.

Strolling from the Hotel Parco, past the Astra Theatre we walk into Castelfidardo, and first on the left is the Castelfidardo Musica shop which makes accordion repairs and sells new and used accordions.

Nicely presented accordions and other musical instruments. A nice stroll through Castelfidardo and by the City square was the competition venue. Sitting in the front row to watch were Jacques Mornet and Nathalie Boucheix, Directors of CNIMA J.Mornet
There was a forest of movie cameras recording this popular category and the hall was quite full.
