 The International Polka Association organises its 41st annual festival, taking place this year at the Doubletree Hotel, south of Cleveland in Independence, Ohio, from August 6th to August 9th.Bands at this year's festival include: John Stevens & Doubleshot, Lenny Gomulka & Chicago Push, Jerry Darlak & Buffalo Touch, Ray J & the Carousels, Downtown Sound, Polka Family, Dennis Polisky & the Maestro's Men, and Tony Blazonczyk & New Phaze. Saturday begins with the Polka Music Hall of Fame Music Awards Banquet at 11am, with a pre-banquet cocktail reception. Sunday there will be a Polka Mass at 9am, with the annual election of officers and convention meeting commencing at 10am. |
