 The Brooklyn Accordion Club will hold an online Zoom workshop entitled “La Cadence in French Traditional Dance Tunes" on November 1st from 2pm to 3pm. The workshop will be presented by Jeremiah McLane (picture left).'La Cadence' is a term used by French traditional dance musicians that translates loosely to the English word groove. In this workshop you will learn some tunes from Central and Northwest France, and how accordionists supply the groove for different types of tunes including the bourrée, mazurka, schottishe, and gavotte.
