 The International Accordion Days in Prague aims to develop the strong tradition of accordion playing in the Czech Republic and has attracted 70 entries from many countries. Friday 30th October 16:00 Friendship Concert – performances by festival participants from Czech Republic, Serbia, Russia, Sweden and Norway at Liben Castle, Zenklova. 19:00 Gala concert - Ladislav Horák (accordion), Pavel Fiedler (saxophone and Accordion Ensemble Plunges Mykolo Oginskio School of Art at Evangelical church „U Salvátora“, Salvátorská 1. Saturday 31st October - Prague Conservatory, 8:00 – 19:00 Competition of cat. I. – V., VII. 1st round Chamber hall Pálffy palác, Valdštejnská 1 8:30 Competition of cat. VI. – XII., VII. 2nd round Concert hall, Dvorákovo nábr. 2 20:30 Competition results, awards, performance of festival laureates International jury members include: Jörgen Sundeqvist (SWE), László Ernyei (HU), Josef Hrebík (CZ), Mirco Patarini (IT), Jirí Teml (CZ), Ladislav Horák (CZ), Pavel Trojan (CZ), Stefan Hippe (DE), Georg Penz (DE). Running at the same time as the competition are: 12:00 – 15:00 Lectures, Workshops, Performances at Concert hall, Dvorákovo nábr. 2, Prague 1. - Pavel Trojan (Prague, CZ), Presentation of Prague Conservatory and Czech contemporary accordion music; - Stefan Hippe (Nürnberg, D), Analyse of selected accordion compositions with audio samples; - Jörgen Löchter (Witten, DE), Premiere of composition, Peter Gerter (accordion); - Performance of new compositions for accordion and saxophone by Czech and German composers (Holmer Becker, Stefan Hippe, Pavel Trojan, Eduard Douša) – Ladislav Horák (accordion ) and Pavel Fiedler (saxophone). - Georg Penz (Schwäbisch Gmünd, D) Tradition of accordion orchestra performance in Germany since 1927 till now. 15:00 Nürnberger Akkordeon-Ensemble, conductor: Markus Röttig |
