65th Trophée Mondial de l'Accordéon 2015, Martigny - Switzerlandby Harley Jones |

 From 21st to 24th October, the Trophée Mondial run by Confederation Mondiale de l'Accordeon CMA (President Frederic Deschamps) was held in Martigny, Switzerland organised by the Acadamie d'Accordeon presided by Yves Moulin.Featured at the event was the folk group Comberintze, Fink Positive, Brice Pianet and the duo 1 Franc Suisse (Yves Moulin & Yann Fiard). Each evening the Variété categories were held as concerts after which traditional Swiss cuisine including raclette and fondue were served. It was a very local event with many volunteers from the village contributing and even hosting competitors. The 2015 Trophée Mondial competitors performances can be seen on the CMA website. Winners of the main categories were: 1st Senior Classique, Vladimir Stupnikov (Russia) 1st Masters, Aleksandr Komelkov (Russia) 1st Senior Variété, Mahatma Costa (Brazil) 1st Junior Classique, Rodon Shirokov (Russia) 1st Junior Variété, Valerio Russo (Italy) 1st World Music, Aldo Duet (Poland) It was also the second time the National Trophee was held, a competition that runs alongside the Trophee Mondial specifically for younger children.
