| Vidéo : Martynas Levickis (Lituanie) interprétant la Suite française n° 5, BWV 816 : Loure de l'album « Autograph ». Martynas Levickis (Lituanie) a reçu cette semaine le prix Opus Klassik Instrumentalist of the Year 2023 en Allemagne, pour son nouvel album « Autograph ». L'Opus Klassik est le prix de la musique classique en Allemagne. La cérémonie de remise des prix aura lieu le 7 octobre 2023 à l'église Elisabeth et le 8 octobre 2023 au Konzerthaus de Berlin. Le prochain concert de Martynas aura lieu le 7 juillet 2023 à 19h au château de Hohen Luckow dans le Mecklembourg, en Allemagne, dans le cadre du Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Martynas jouera dans un sextuor d'accordéon avec Siniša Ljubojevic, Wieslaw Ochwat, Kamila Olas, Maris Rozenfelds et Ðorde Vasiljevic. Leur programme comprendra une variété d'œuvres de Tchaïkovski pour sextuor d'accordéon. |

 Les plans sont bien avancés pour la 76e Coupe Mondiale 2023 qui se tiendra à Bijeljina, en Bosnie-Herzégovine.  Vidéo : Somewhere Over the Rainbow - Grayson Masefield. Un magnifique arrangement jazz pour accordéon free-bass par Joseph Natoli, enregistré en octobre 2018 à la Bartell Music Academy à Spokane, aux États-Unis.Le festival Accordionists & Teachers Guild, International (ATG) 2023 se tiendra du 19 au 23 juillet 2023 à Lisle, Chicago, USA, Les artistes invités viennent du monde entier, comme Grayson Masefield de Nouvelle-Zélande, qui présentera la dernière composition de Gorka Hermosa (photo de gauche) intitulée "Meditatio". Parmi les autres interprètes figurent le Duo Kollektiv (Autriche), l'orchestre Polyphonia (île de la Réunion), Nikolay Bine (Canada), Stas Venglevski (États-Unis) et le (UMKC) Community Accordion Chamber Ensemble, dirigé par Joan Sommers (États-Unis). Cette année, Kevin Friedrich sera accompagné de l'organiste Tony Payne (professeur associé de musique, directeur des programmes spéciaux et des séries d'artistes au Wheaton College), de Ron Dake (accordéon basse) et de Nathaniel Holman (percussions) pour interpréter une œuvre intitulée "Dargaville Impressions" du célèbre accordéoniste et compositeur anglais Ian Watson. Cette œuvre en deux mouvements a été commandée par Kevin Friedrich en l'honneur de la rénovation de l'orgue historique de l'église anglicane Holy Trinity de sa ville natale, Dargaville, en Nouvelle-Zélande. | Le Festival d'Accordéon de Cotati 2023 aura lieu à La Plaza Park, La Plaza, Cotati, Californie, USA les 19 et 20 août 2023. Dès le samedi 19 août, la Zydeco Dance Party aura lieu chez Spanky's, à côté du parc. Il n'y a pas seulement possibilité de danser à l'intérieur du club, mais il y a beaucoup d'espace de danse à l'extérieur sur le large trottoir adjacent au club où beaucoup dansèrent l'année dernière. Mark St. Mary, récompensé du "Meilleur groupe Zydeco" par la Bay Area Blues Society, inaugurera le festival puis le "Delta King" ne manquera pas d'apporter le meilleur de la musique zydeco traditionnelle de Louisiane.   Accordionists entertained at the Glastonbury Festival which was held at Worthy Farm in Glastonbury, Somerset, England, UK from June 21st to 25th, 2023.London-based Russian accordionist Igor Outkine (picture above left) performed as well as the Good Habits duo, which features accordionist Pete Shaw and singer-cellist Bonnie Schwarz (picture above right). This year’s festival had over 210,000 attendees plus included over 40 hours of television coverage which aired on several BBC channels and over 85 hours of live radio coverage. |

| Parno Drom will perform at the Seattle Polish Festival, held at the Seattle Centre Armory & Mural Amphitheatre in Seattle, Washington, USA on July 8th, 2023 from midday. The group, which features Bob Kozak (accordion & vocals), Katya Kiselyova (guitar & vocals), Lubov Plett (violin) and Elizabeth Lesztak (dancer), perform Eastern European Romani (Gypsy) style music from Russia, Poland, Hungary and beyond. They sing in the original language of each song including the Romany language of the Gypsies. The Polish Festival Seattle is a family-oriented event for the Greater Seattle multicultural community.  The St Audries Bay Accordion Week will be held in St Audries Bay, West Quantoxhead, Nr Minehead, Somerset, England from July 14th to 21st, 2023.The event features a week of professional orchestra workshops, master classes, private lessons, concerts, ceilidh and general bellows related fun. Workshops include: • Musical Improv and Playing by Ear by Andrew Purkiss, which will focus on listening skills, improvisation and playing by ear. This will include playing without music using a simple tune to create and arrange together. • Technique and Bellows Work by Sammie Peckover-Mitchell, which will incorporate some simple exercises with bellows work to brush up your technique. • Ways to Approach Performance Anxiety by Caroline Hussey. If you’re an anxious player please come along and talk about what happens when we’re feeling anxious, and ways we can prepare for and cope with nerves when performing. • Introduction to the B-System Accordion by Lisa-Lee Leslie who will be offering the opportunity to come and learn all about the B-system accordion.   Amélie Dénarié (picture above left) & François Heim (picture above right) will run a Diatonic Accordion Workshop in Hamlet of Chalap, Senechas, France from July 16th to 22nd, 2023, organised by the Balagan Company.The workshop is for all levels except beginners and will cover right hand chords on different rhythms, how to diversify the left hand, independence of the hands, the use of the air valve, the effects of bellows and the different touches to learn how to evolve a melody according to your level and help you find your interpretation. Les Collaboratrices réalisant les entretiens sont Adele Pirozzolo et Andrea Di Giacomo.L'interview de Romuald Lefebvre maintenant publié a été réalisé par Andrea Di Giacomo. Romuald Lefebvre s'est produit avec l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France en 2017. Il enseigne également au Conservatoire de Calais et de Boulogne-Sur-Mer. Soucieux du développement de l'accordéon, il fut l'un des fondateurs de l'Association des Professeurs du Haut de France. Il enregistre 2 albums solo, "Eclectique" en 2013 et "Toccata" en 2014.
