| The 2023 Cotati Accordion Festival will be held at La Plaza Park, La Plaza, Cotati, California, USA on August 19th & 20th, 2023. Starting at noon on Saturday, August 19th, the Zydeco Dance Party opens up at Spanky’s, adjacent to the park, There is not only dancing inside the club, but there is a lot of dancing space outside on the wide sidewalk adjacent to the club which was full of dancers last year. Mark St. Mary, awarded the “Best Zydeco Band” by the Bay Area Blues Society, will be the opening act and the “Delta King” never fails to bring the best in traditional Louisiana zydeco music. Cotati Festival performers include Tracey Collins (New Zealand), Cory Pesaturo, Jenny Conlee (The Decemberists), Elena Stenkina (Russia/New Jersey), Those Darn Accordions, Faleado Forro (Jamie Maschler), Carlos Mehia Godoy (Nicaragua/Cal.), Jet Black Pearl, Mad Maggies, Erica Mancini (New York City), Junk Parlor, Mariposa Del Alma, Courtney Von Drehle, Hernandez Hideaway, Mike Danner, Sourdough Slim, Paper Bellows (Oregon), Wind Weavers, Five Cent Coffee, Zla Vila, Amber Lee Baker, Barn Swallows, Juniper Djinn, Future Stars, The Steve Balich Band, Sheri Mignano, Mark St Mary, California Blue Runners, Iko Ya Ya, The Wild Catahoulas and more to be announced. |
