Brazil World Accordion DayThe Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) is pleased to welcome you to World Accordion Day. Planned is a live WAD video broadcast on May 6th hosted by Kevin Friedrich & Grayson Masefield of 2 hours with a focus on childhood accordion education. The World Accordion Day 2021 website, May 6th, will feature accordion in many countries.

Brazil and Portugal will collaborate to celebrate Astor Piazzolla's centenary by holding 15 performances by accordionists around the world.

The Quitanda Musical Booking Agency, in partnership with the Oswaldinho do Acordeon Institute and Mito Algarvio - Association of Accordionists of the Algarve (Portugal), brought together some famous accordionists to celebrate this very special date.

Oswaldinho do Acordeon, Hermeto Pascoal, Renato Borghetti and Luizinho Calixto represent Brazil, along with a Portuguese team including João Barradas, Inês Vaz, Nelson Conceição and João Frade. The event also includes the virtuoso Mirco Patarini in Italy and other international talents such as Laimonas Salijus (Lithuania), Petar Maric (Serbia) and Irina Serotyuk (Ukraine).

There will be more than 15 performances on May 6th, divided into four different times throughout the day, broadcast on Rythmica Web TV. Look for the video link here before 6th May. Broadcast: www.rythmicawebtv.com
