‘Bayan Mix’ en una nueva serie de TV – Rusiaby Harley Jones |
El dúo ‘Bayan Mix’ de Sergey Voytenko y Dmitriy Khramkov, se ha involucrado de cerca en la producción de ‘Brother and Sister’, un drama televisivo que aparecerá en la TV rusa en septiembre. Sergey Voytenko escribió la mayoría de la música, y ambos, él y Dmitriy Khramkov participan interpretando los personajes de acordeonistas y strippers! "Antes de escribir la música, estudié muchas series”, dijo Sergey Voytenko, “entonces empecé a buscar ideas para crear el fondo musical. Como resultado, nacieron seis canciones”. Algunas de ellas serán interpretadas por el dúo ‘Bayan Mix’ en sus conciertos. Además de las piezas escritas especialmente para la serie, también se incluye un dueto de la conocida pieza ‘Sentimentos’. Sergey Voytenko tenía experiencia previa trabajando como actor de película. En el 2007 empezó con la película ‘Carnival Night 2’, de Eldar Ryazanov. Dmitriy Khramkov aparecerá en pantalla por primera vez. ‘Brother and Sister’, dirigida por Alexander Baranov, estará en antena en TV en septiembre del 2011. Se prolonga el plazo para la inscripción al 36º Premio del Concurso de Castelfidardo - Italiaby Harley Jones |
El plazo para la inscripción al 36º Premio del Concurso & Festival Internacional de Acordeón de Castelfidardo se ha prolongado hasta el 21 de Agosto del 2011. Pueden descargar aquí la normativa de la competición: 2011castelfidardo La administración municipal, en colaboración con la asociación turística Pro-Loco y la asociación Ideazione Eventi organiza el premio interncaional "Città di Castelfidardo" Festival Internacional de Acordeón que se celebrará del 21 al 25 de septiembre del 2011. La competición internacional cuenta con categorías de solistas de música de concierto hasta 12, 15, 18 años y sin límite de edad, categorías de solista de música ligera hasta 18 años y sin límite, y categorías de música de cámara, orquestas de acordeones y una categoría Astor Piazzola para acordeón o bandoneón y banda. 30th Annual Mietne International Accordion Seminar – Polandby Harley Jones |

Durante los últimos 30 años, el Seminario Internacional de Acordeón Mietne, organizado por la Asociación Polonesa de Acordeón, ha atraído muchos educadores de acordeón famosos como por ejemplo Mogens Ellegaard, Viatcheslav Semionov, Mika Väyrynen, Yuri Shishkin, Vladimir Zubitsky así como los mejores profesores de acordeón de Polonia. Durante este tiempo el líder de esta asociación ha sido el profesor Lech Puchnowski, que pronto celebrará su 80 cumpleaños y que todavía está haciendo mucho trabajo por el acordeón. Los tutores del 2011 son: Prof. Lech Puchnowski – Director del Master Seminar, clase de orquesta de acordeón. Prof. Jerzy Jurek – Decano del dept. de instrumentos de orquesta, Fr. Chopin Universidad de Varsovia Ass. Prof. Elwira Śliwkiewic – Universidad de Lublin. Prof. Jerzy Modrawski - Fr. Chopin Universidad de Varsovia Prof. Klaudiusz Baran Fr. - Chopin Universidad de Varsovia Dorota Puchnowska-Aftyka – Flauta en la orquesta nacional, clase de música de cámara. Danuta Kaniewska – Jurek – Director del seminario. Prof. Alexander Selivanov - Gnessin Academia de Música en Moscú El famoso solista Yuri Shishkin (Rusia) fue invitado como profesor y también ofreció un concierto como solista que fue “uno de los momentos más bonitos del seminario”. Durante más de 9 días (del 3 al 12 de julio), se hicieron conciertos cada tarde, muchos de ellos interpretados y organizados por los alumnos. La audiencia escuchó música que había sido preparada antes de los seminarios y también durante. Este es un interesante sistema de master clases donde cada estudiante puede acudir a todos los profesores para recibir clase. Esto ofrece a los participantes la oportunidad de aprender con 3 ó 4 ó más profesores internacionales, y también participar en un intercambio de tradiciones entre los diferentes países. Alexander Selivanov escribió: “Es difícil imaginar un lugar dónde encontrar tantos acordeonistas jóvenes (más de 30) de tan alto nivel. Muchas felicidades al Seminario Internacional de Acordeón Mietne y a Lech Puchnowski y su equipo por tantos años de trabajo exitoso”. Anne Landa en RTVE2 - Españaby Francesca Pigini, Pigini Accordion Factory |
Por primera vez, el acordeón de concierto llega a un programa de RTVE dedicado a la música clásica. El repertorio que presenta Anne Landa desde hace unos años, y la asociación cultural ACCO LAND (área para la difusión del acordeón de concierto), se centra en música antigua con el fin de enriquecer el repertorio del acordeón de concierto. En esta ocasión Anne Landa presentó en "Programa de Mano" de RTVE2 (12 de julio , 2011) su nuevo disco grabado con Arsis y dedicado al compositor del renacimiento Antonio de Cabezón. Entre sus próximos proyectos, Anne Landa presentó en RTVE su proyecto en el Teatro Real de Madrid con la compositora Elena Mendoza para el 2014, donde el acordeón será protagonista con obras de Onetti. En sus próximos conciertos, destacan los conciertos que Anne Landa ofrecerá en la región del compositor Antonio de Cabezón, en iglesias de Castilla (Adeco- Camino de Santiago) , siguiendo el principio sonoro del órgano de la época en la acústica de las iglesias románicas. Yuri Medianik First With Personal App for iPhone – Russiaby Rob Howard |
In the world of show business, iPhone personal apps are the latest fashion and a sign of a good taste, quickly becoming an indispensable efficient career promotional tool. Musicians such as David Bowie, Britney Spears, Madonna, Paul Oakenfold, Pink, already have their own apps. Yuri Medianik (bayan, violin, bandoneon), conductor, Artistic Director of Pluri_Art Orchestra, quartet Emotion-orchestra, founder and director of International Art Festival Pluri_Art is the first in Russia among classical musicians to release a personal iPhone app. Medianik is a world class virtuoso, performing on the same stage with Yury Bashmet, Sergej Zhilin, Daniil Kramer, Aleksandra Paxmutova and Igor Krutoj. He is equally successful performing with symphonic, chamber and pop ensembles, playing tango, flamenco, jazz and taking part in theatrical projects. Yuri Medianik likes to broaden his public musical horizons in a unique way that no one else has done before. He was the first among Russian musicians to introduce Argentinean bandoneon to a wide audience, and first accordionist to offer an online master class for beginners. In the next few weeks he will be the first among academic musicians in Russia to present his personal iPhone app «Yuri Medianik». Ksenija Sidorova Releases Debut CD, London – UKby Rob Howard |
Ksenija Sidorova has released her debut solo CD, ‘Classical Accordion’, on the Champs Hill label. Still in her early twenties, Latvian-born London-based Ksenija is already a highly accomplished artist, and has collaborated with many leading musicians including the Belcea Quartet, and Valery Gergiev with the CBSO. Born in Latvia in 1988, Ksenija Sidorova was encouraged to take up the accordion at the age of eight by her grandmother. Her studies took her to London where she was a prize-winning undergraduate at the Royal Academy of Music. In February 2009 Ksenija was a joint winner of the ‘Friends of the Royal Academy of Music Wigmore Award’, which led to her Wigmore Hall debut later that year. She also received the Worshipful Company of Musicians Silver Medal for the Maisie Lewis Award, and was the first accordionist to win the prestigious WCoM Prince’s Prize. Ksenija will be appearing in classical music magazines such as the BBC Music Magazine, Classical Music, and Classic Fm Magazine. The CD track list reads: Arne Norheim – ‘Flashing’, J.S. Yehuda Oppenheimer Quintet Performing at Conservatorium of Reut-Modiin - Israelby Harley Jones |
The Conservatorium of Reut-Modiin (about halfway between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem) invited the Yehuda Oppenheimer Quintet to perform some of his repertoire at their annual end of year concert on the 12th July. Photo above, left to right: Yehuda Oppenheimer, Micha ben Arie, Alon Milo, Micha Klappholz and Ronit Cohen. Yehuda wrote "how special, that half the players were students of his some 49 years ago." The audience was delighted to hear works like Maerchen-Symphonietta by Wuerthner and compositions by Oppenheimer. Composer Yehuda Oppenheimer joined with group to play his own composition Mini Valse and afterwards, several people said "they never expected an accordion ensemble to produce such a beautiful sound". Player Ronit Cohen is the Director of the Conservatorium of Reut-Modiin and it was her idea to form this group some 2 years ago. The group has been performing since then, sometimes with 6-7 players, sometimes less, with weekly rehearsals. From July 10th to 17th in Lullin Haute Savoie, Jean-Louis Noton held a Master Class at the Hotel de la Poste run by Gerard and Marie-Odile Chanel. Participants were warmly welcomed to the cosy ambience where they had the opportunity of courses offered by Jean-Louis and Jean-Pierre Andreani, leader of "Lullin's Band" and to enjoy a special musical occasion! . Additionally, was the visit of the talented Bruno Biard on the July 14th. To close the week of music, a large audience came to listen to the final concert (picture above) on Saturday evening, dancing late into the night. The Accordions Worldwide news for July 25th 1997 reported that accordionist Mirco Patarini performed with the legendary tenor Luciano Pavarotti in a concert that was broadcast live on television. This is one gig that Mirco will surely remember to this day! There, maestro Mirco Patarini and the festival's orchestra performed together with the very famous and international tenor Luciano Pavarotti. The concert was broadcast live on television. |
