| Photo above: Joe Cerrito with retired accordionist for the US Army Strolling Strings, Manny Bobenrieth Surrounded by family, musician friends and many former students, accordionist Joe Cerrito celebrated his 90th birthday in his former hometown, Warwick, Rhode Island on April 15th. Joe, who now resides in Florida, is still very active, performing regularly in a restaurant (where he strolls), as well as at senior centers, a variety of other venues and private parties. Joe has been playing professionally since the age of 15. He performed in a variety of combinations (duos, trios, quartets and more). He owned two accordion schools in Rhode Island, which produced many individual and ensemble champions.
