XXII Ball Tango Argentino – Germanyby Christine Johnstone |
The XXII Ball Tango Argentino will be held at the Historische Stadhalle in Wuppertal, Germany on September 28th as part of the Festival Wuppertal. The event will include concerts, workshops, shows and a Tango Ball. Entertainers include the Orquesta Social del Tango (Spain) which comprises Fulvio Giraudo (piano and musical direction), Nico Enrich (bandoneón), Humberto Ridolfi (violín), Cristian Basto (contrabajo) and Duo Ariel Varnerin & Agustín Fuertes (guitar and vocals). The ensemble offers a modern interpretation of the traditional repertoire of tango’s “golden period.” This is when both musicians and dancers shared a common social space: the Milonga. Musical Director Fulvio Giraudo designed the arrangements around traditional themes of the 1930’s and 40’s. For further details email: org@tango-tango.de |
