Castelfidardo Mourns the Passing of 4 Personalities of the Accordion - Italy

Nazzareno Carini, Elio Gabbanelli, Armando Bugari, Pippo di Filippucci
Armando Bugari - founder of the accordion factory Bugari Armando passed away on Monday 23rd October 2017 at the age of 81.

Armando Bugari is remembered as an energetic, open minded, charismatic and handsome man. In 1997 he tragically had a car accident, was seriously injured and for 20 years he suffered the consequences of that terrible car crash, not being able to move.

Nazzareno Carini – founder of the one and only place for accordion parts and accessories, on Tuesday 17th October 2017 at the age of 84. The Carini family have been a huge part of accordion production for over 7 decades with Carino Carini providing specialized parts for virtually every accordion factory.

In recent years Nazzareno Carini had left the company in the hands of his brother Demitrio, while offering his valuable collaboration for the Civic Accordion Museum. The business is now carried on by the next generation for the family as Carini "De Na" srl;

Elio Gabbanelli – producer of the Gabbanelli/Italy accordions on Saturday 21st October 2017 at the age of 58;

“Pippo” – Pippo di Filippucci, mythical founder of the well known restaurant “da Pippo” now beside the Theater Astra, on Saturday 21th October 2017 at the age of 87. Pippo restaurant has been a most popular meeting/eating point for all visitors to Castelfidardo and nearly everyone internationally in the accordion industry has eaten there. More accordion business has probably happened at Pippo over the decades, than any other place in the world.

The next generation, the sons Ettore and Franco are running with great success their fathers restaurant.
