Scottish Music Workshop, Salford – UK

The Salford Folk Music Workshop meets on the first Friday evening of the month. On September 3rd, 7.45 pm, the evening will be led by accordionist John Trigg, who will guide all present through a selection of Scottish Dance Music. Music will be provided, and the programme includes:

Marches – ‘The Tartan’, ‘Uist Tramping Song’
Waltz – ‘John and Molly Cook's Golden Wedding’
Polka – ‘Gordon Shand Polka’
Reel – ‘Summer Assembly’
Gay Gordons – ‘John MacDonald 2/4 march’
Jig – ‘Macdonald of Sleat’
Solo Dance – ‘The Lilt’
Strathspeys – ‘J. Shand’s Compliments to Miss Milligan’, ‘Lewis J.McLeod’, ‘Bobby Harvey’

The Workshop will be held at the Maxwell Building, Salford University, The Crescent , Salford, Greater Manchester. Enter the Maxwell Building main entrance, take the lift to the 8th floor, room 824.
