After a successful recital and the concert with the Frankfurt-based ‘Ensemble Interface’ at the ‘World of Sound Festival’, St. Petersburg (works by Oehring, Schnebel, Eimermacher, Jarnegard, Billone, K.Lang and Bedrossian), Russian accordionist Sergej Tchirkov performs as follows: November 1at and 2nd - chamber opera by Boris Filanovsky, ‘Three Four - lyrical scenes not for the theatre’, MCME, Moscow November 4th - solo works by Billone, John Cage, Sehyuong Kim, as well as new works for accordion, flute and cello, by Baiterekov and Romashkova with the ‘GAMEnsemble’, Kazakh National University of Arts November 18th - with GAMEnsemble at the ‘Moscow Autumn’ festival of contemporary music. Works by Romashkova, Baiterekov, Nikolaev, Kasparov, and ‘VUO’ for accordion solo by Finnish composer Pasi Lyytikainen November 21st - master class and concert at the Nizhni Novgorod Academy of Music Novemer 23rd and 24th - solo works by Stravinsky and Schnebel; pieces for accordion, flute, cello and voice by Romashkova, Baiterekov, Safronov, Polevaya and Nikolaev with the ‘GAMensemble’, Gallery ‘Sterkh’, Surgut November 26th – ‘GAMensemble’ at the Ekaterinburg Grand Philharmonic Hall: solo works by Billone, Kim, as well as works for accordion, flute and cello Sergej Tchirkov, born in St. Petersburg in 1980, graduated from the State St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in 2003 (class of Prof. Alexander Dmitriev).
