 Seit geschichtliche Ereignisse das Akkordeon nach Castelfidardo gebracht haben, hat der „Wille und Initiative“ Akkordeons produzieren zu wollen, dazu geführt - ein phänomenal wirtschaftlich-produktives "Gebiet“entstehen zu lassen. Music Marche.Dokumentationen beweisen, daß Handwerker bereits in den Jahren von 1840-1850 im Gebiet von Castelfidardo Akkordeons gefertigt haben, was dann in den Jahren von 1860-1870 zu einer fachlichen Weiterntwicklung führte: Unternehmen die sich ausschließlich mit der Produktion von Akkordeons befassten, wurden gegründet. So wurde also in diesem Gebiet ein eher ungewöhnliches Phänomen ausgelöst: geografische Relevanz (dh örtlich begrenztes Produktionsgebiet), sozialer Aspekt (Einwohner waren sich dem positives Element des Wohlstandes und der Beschäftigung bewußt), Förderung von fachlich spezialisierter Ausbildung (Arbeitnehmer spezialisierten sich in Können und Fertigungen bestimmter Arbeitsphasen und Materialien) Unternehmensbeziehungen (gemeinsam aber gleichzeitig im individuellem Wettbewerbsinteresse): All diese Faktoren führten zur Entstehung dieser „Region“. Das Akkordeon ist ein sehr anspruchsvolles Instrument, in denen sehr wenige Arbeitsphasen mechanisiert werden können und sehr viele Materialien zur Produktion verwendet werden (Holz, Aluminium, Stahl, Eisen, Messing, Pappe, Stoff, Leder, Zelluloid, etc.). Das führte im Gebiet zu kontinuierlicher Weiterentwicklung bei Lösungen von Konstruktionsproblemen und ermöglichte eine ständige Innovation des Musikinstrumentes. Auch heute noch- nach eineinhalb Jahrhunderten- ist man in Castelfidardo nach wie vor bestrebt, Akkordeons zu erzeugen und zu verbessern, um den Anforderungen der Musiker gerecht zu werden und ein Instrument der Zukunft )zu garantieren. Die Akkordeonindustrie von Castelfidardo war und ist seit jeher sehr dynamisch. Heute sind es 25 Unternehmen, die Akkordeons und andere Musikinstrumente herstellen, sowie weitere 70 Unternehmen aus dem Umfeld mit über tausend Beschäftigten. Die Stadt Castelfidardo ist nicht nur der Produktions-Geburtsort hochqualitativer Akkordeons, sondern auch die Wiege der Akkordeons- Kultur mit dem Internationalen Festival und Wettbewerb (nächste Veranstaltung vom 6-10 Oktober 2010), dem äußerst zahlreich bestückten Internationalen Akkordeon-Museum, Studienzentrum (thematische Fortbildungskurse, Tagungen und Seminare) sowie dem Konsortium "Musik Marche Akkordeons" (Music Marche), einer Organisation, die Castelfidardo’s Akkordeonhersteller vereint. Heute, ein Instrument mit dem Markenzeichen "Made in Castelfidardo" zu kaufen bedeutet „Garantie“ basiert auf Erfahrung und Tradition von 150 Jahren. Wissen und Nutzung von Innovationen und kontinuierlicher Verbesserung der Instrumente und Gewährleistung für die Zukunft (Stimmung, Wartung, Reparatur). Nicht jeder italienische Name bürgt für "Made in Castelfidardo" mit den erwähnten Qualitäten, die das Ergebnis langjähriger Tradition sind - daher ist höchste Aufmerksamkeit und Vorsicht geboten!  Das Bajan, das Akkordeon und die Harmonika waren in Russland immer sehr beliebt und populär. Ob an den Fronten des Grossen Vaterländischen Kriegs oder bei festlichen Anlässen wie Hochzeiten, stets waren diese Instrumente fester Bestandteil unseres Alltags. 1948 erhielten diese Volksinstrumente einen neuen Impuls, als am Gnessin-Institut (heutzutage Russische Musikakademie) die gleichnamige Fakultät eröffnet wurde.Endlich erhielten die Volksmusiker ihre Ausbildung auf gleichem Niveau mit Pianisten und Geigern. Danach wurden ähnliche Lehrstühle und Fakultäten in allen Konservatorien des Landes (außer Moskau) eröffnet, wodurch die Bajanisten und Akkordeonisten eine führende Stellung in der Welt einnehmen und aus allen angesehenen internationalen Wettbewerben siegreich hervor gehen konnten. Heute schreiben für uns die größten Komponisten Russlands: S.Gubaidulina, A.Cholminow, R.Ledenjow, J.Podgaiz, M.Bronner, A.Schurbin und andere. Unsere Instrumente erklingen Solo, in Ensembles und mit Orchester in den größten Sälen der Welt. Jedoch verlieren wir heute unsere Position in vielfacher Hinsicht. Der Zustrom zu den Kindermusikschulen, Mittel- und Hochschulen hat abgenommen, unser Beruf verliert sein Prestige. Natürlich lässt sich das durch die komplizierte allgemeine Wirtschaftslage im Land, die Probleme auf dem Gebiet der Kultur, und insbesondere in der Musikkunst erklären. Aber vielleicht können wir selbst etwas tun, um die Situation zu verbessern? Der Lehrstuhl für Bajan und Akkordeon der Gnessin Musikakademie hat alle Kollegen im ganzen Land aufgerufen, am 20. März 2010 einen Tag des Bajans, des Akkordeons und der Harmonika durch zu führen. In allen Winkeln Russlands sollen unsere Instrumente für das breite Publikum gespielt werden. Es wäre wünschenswert, dass uns die Massenmedien an diesem Tag ihre volle Aufmerksamkeit schenken. Dieser Feiertag soll jährlich an jedem dritten Samstag im März abgehalten werden.  Tausende von Akkordeons werden vom 13. bis 16. Mai 2010 beim 10. World Music Festival in Innsbruck, Österreich, erklingen. Rund 10.000 Akkordeon Freunde, ca. 250 Orchester und Ensembles aus 15 Nationen werden dann bei einem der größten Akkordeon Wettbewerbe der Welt im internationalen Tagungszentrum Congress Innsbruck und in benachbarten Spielstätten erwartet. Der internationale Wettbewerb bezieht sich auf verschiedene Kategorien: Akkordeon Orchester und Ensembles, Kammermusik-Akkordeon, Kammermusik Klassisch mit mindestens einem Akkordeon, Ensembles Steirische/ Diatonische Harmonika, Mundharmonika Orchester und Ensembles, Folkloregruppen und gemischte Besetzungen mit mindestens einem Akkordeon sowie Senior Hobby Akkordeon (Orchester und Ensembles). Die teilnehmenden Gruppen sind Erwachsene, Jugendliche (bis 21 Jahre), Kinder/ Schüler (bis 16), Ensembles Amateure und Profis – sie alle wetteifern auf verschiedenen Ebenen wie Höchststufe, Oberstufe, Mittelstufe und Elementarstufe. Unter das Kritikspiel fallen Hobby Orchester und Ensembles (Erwachsene, Senioren). Neben den verschiedenen Wertungsspielen, die tagsüber stattfinden, gibt es an den Abenden fantastische Konzerte, die die Säle des Congress Innsbruck mit nie gehörten Klangwolken füllen werden. Am Sonntag den 16. Mai, findet die große Abschlusszeremonie aller Teilnehmer mit Preisverleihung in der Innsbrucker Olympia Arena statt – eine unvergleichliche Stimmung, ein mitreißender Mix aus Freude und Musik ist garantiert. Seit 1983 veranstaltet der Deutsche Harmonika Verein DHV das World Music Festival im Dreijahresrhythmus in Innsbruck, der Hauptstadt von Tirol, eine der schönsten Tourismusdestinationen der Welt.  The accordion ensemble ‘Vivant!’ and World Champion accordionist, Grayson Masefield (New Zealand), will appear in a joint concert at Unity on the Plaza, 707 West 47th St, Kansas City, on Sunday April 18th, 3pm. This will be Grayson Masefield’s only performance in the Midwest on his US tour. The highly anticipated concert will have something for everyone who appreciates great musical artistry and virtuosic and entertaining accordion at its best. Vivant! will be releasing its second CD, ‘Whatever You Do’, and Grayson Masefield will be releasing his new solo album. A CD signing event will immediately follow the concert. Both Vivant! (MD Karen Fremar) and Grayson Masefield have distinguished themselves as crossover artists, playing the classics, as well as original, tango and popular works in their stunning performances. 22-year-old Grayson Masefield, who studies in France, recently burst forth upon the international accordion scene taking top honors at the 2009 Coupe Mondiale in both classical and entertainment categories. Vivant! members are: Karen Fremar (accordion/keyboard), Julie Silfverberg (accordion/keyboard), Gail Overly (accordion), Dee Sligar (bass keys). | Hohner sponsored an online clinic with Flaco Jimenez at VideoRanch3D on Saturday March 20th. VideoRanch3D is owned by Michael Nesmith, once with The Monkees, and the intention was to do something different online besides concerts. Flaco Jimenez talked about the Hohner Signature Series Accordion, his music, and the history of Tex-Mex music, attracting viewers from all over the world. Flaco Jimenez (born 1939) is to Tex-Mex music what Clifton Chenier was to Zydeco or Jimmy Shand to Scottish dance music. Tex-Mex is the accordion-driven folk music of the working class Americans of Mexican origin living in Texas, and Flaco Jimenez has consistently been the genre’s best-known and most commercially successful exponent worldwide. |

On March 12th Claudio was a guest of the Royal Academy of Music in London. Here he gave a master class to the students of Professor Owen Murray. He also performed a solo concert with works by Bach, Gismonti and Jacomucci. This concert was also an excellent showcase for the talents of the students Ksenija Sidorova, Martynas Levickis, Rafal Luc, Trang Nguyen and Amedej Herzog, performing works by Bach, Scarlatti, Gubaidulina, Berio, and Berinsky. At the ‘Accordion and Bandoneon Festival’ in Bucharest, Romania, March 19th and 20th, Claudio presented the premiere of the concerto for accordion and orchestra, ‘Auf der Suche’, written for him in 1995 by the Italian composer Boris Porena. The concert was held at the National Romanian Radio with the National Radio Orchestra, conducted by Gerd Schaller. Other guests at the festival were Richard Galliano, Hector Ulises Passarella, Peter Soave and Madeleine Soave. Claudio also gave a recital at the Romanian Radio Hall, presenting, amongst others, his own compositions ‘Wonderlands’ (solo) and ‘Infernal Circles’ (solo and electronics).  Well known accordionist Mary Tokarski recently appeared on ‘Connecticut Style’ daytime TV program. View the video on USA Fan Club.Mary played ‘The Fox And The Hound’, and spoke about the accordion, her career as an accordionist and teacher, the Connecticut Accordion Association, and the recently published book, ‘An Accordion! What Is That?’, written by Karen Malan-Uribe and illustrated by Joan Geller Grauman. Mary narrates the book and plays on the book's accompanying CD. Mary Tokarski performs both nationally and internationally, as a soloist, with Symphony Orchestra and String Quartet, and as a member of both ‘Buttons & Keys (accordion and piano duo) and The 'K' Trio.
