47. Internationaler Akkordeonwettbewerb Klingenthal 2010by Xenia Brunner |
 In der Zeit vom 7. bis 13. Mai 2010 findet in Klingenthal der 47. Internationale Akkordeonwettbewerb statt. Bisher liegen 117 Anmeldungen aus 27 Ländern im Organisationsbüro vor. Besonders stark vertreten sind in diesem Jahr Russland mit 18 Anmeldungen, China mit 12 Anmeldungen und Deutschland mit 12 Anmeldungen. Neu ist in diesem Jahr ist die Kategorie VIII (Bandoneongruppen). Auch zum 47. Internationalen Akkordeonwettbewerb wird wieder ein niveauvolles und vielseitiges Rahmenprogramm angeboten. Den Auftakt gibt das traditionelle Frühlingskonzert des Stadtorchesters Klingenthal am 7. Mai in der Aula am Amtsberg. Das Eröffnungskonzert wird in diesem Jahr letztmalig im König Albert Theater in Bad Elster stattfinden. Ab nächstem Jahr wird es eine Änderung des Wochentagerhythmus geben. Es wird der Wettbewerb 2011 nicht mehr an einem Freitag, sondern an einem Montag beginnen und am Sonntag darauf findet dann das Preisträgerkonzert statt. Damit soll insbesondere dem Fachpublikum die Möglichkeit gegeben werden, die interessanten zweiten Runden und das Finale der Kategorie IV an einem verlängerten Wochenende, also Freitags bis Sonntags erlebbar zu machen. Die Internationale Jury unter Vorsitz von Prof. Jürgen Ganzer wird wieder aus 16 Mitgliedern bestehen. Die Wettbewerbe finden im Gliersaal und in der Aula am Amtsberg statt. | 2010 Frankfurt Musikmesse Report. Die internationalen Fachmessen Musikmesse und Prolight + Sound fanden vom 24. bis 27. März 2010 in Frankfurt statt. Vier Tage lang verwandelten sie das Frankfurter Messegelände in eine gigantische Produktshow rund um die Themen Musikmachen und Entertainment und in eine der größten Konzertveranstaltungen des Landes. „Mit rund 2.340 Ausstellern, davon 62 Prozent aus dem Ausland, und fast 110.000 Besuchern aus 128 Ländern haben die beiden Veranstaltungen alle Erwartungen übertroffen und ihre Stellung als internationale Leitmessen ihrer Branchen weiter ausgebaut“, betont Detlef Braun, Geschäftsführer der Messe Frankfurt. Insgesamt schlugen sich die schwierigen wirtschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen der Branchen bei den Aussteller- und Besucherzahlen nur mit einem leichten Rückgang gegenüber 2009 (2.388 Aussteller, 112.478 Besucher) nieder. Auf der Musikmesse zeigten in diesem Jahr 1.510 Anbieter neueste Musikinstrumente und -zubehör, Noten und Fachliteratur, Vermarktungsangebote und DJ-Equipment. Hersteller von Akkordeon Instrumenten und Zubehör stellten ihre Produkte in der Halle 3.1 zur Schau. Rund 40.000 Besucher kamen aus dem Ausland. Das entspricht einem Plus von knapp 3 Prozent gegenüber dem Vorjahr. Die stärksten Besuchernationen waren nach Deutschland die Niederlande, Frankreich, Italien, Schweiz, Belgien, Österreich und Großbritannien. Musikgenuss, Promis und Preisverleihungen Mehr als 1.000 solcher Events begeisterten das Publikum und rückten Frankfurt in das Zentrum der weltweiten Musik- und Veranstaltungsbranche. International renommierte Preisverleihungen wie der Frankfurter Musikpreis oder der Deutsche Musikinstrumentenpreis zählten ebenso dazu wie Nachwuchspreise, zum Beispiel der SchoolJam für die beste Schülerband Deutschlands oder der DJ Tools Award. Herausragende Künstler und bekannte Persönlichkeiten aus der Musiker- und Entertainmentwelt waren während der gesamten vier Messetage auf den Ständen der Ausseller und den Bühnen der Messen zu sehen. Die Besucher konnten zum Beispiel Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple) live erleben. Viele (Ex-)Mitglieder der Scorpions spiel-ten auf den Bühnen der Musikmesse: Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schen-ker, Hermann Rarebell oder Matthias Jabs. Glashaus, Revolverheld und Luxuslärm waren ebenfalls live zu sehen. Außerdem standen Stars wie Paul Landers, Richard Z. Kruspe, Christoph Schneider (alle Rammstein), Erran Baron Cohen, Klaus Doldinger, Donots, Bela B., Bootsy Collins, TM Stevens, Doug Aldrich, Dick Dale, Kat Dyson, Da-vy Knowles oder Dragonforce auf einer der Bühnen oder gaben Au-togrammstunden. 10 Jahre Music4kids Seit 10 Jahren unterstützt die Musikmesse mit dieser Initiative die in Deutschland noch ausbaufähige musikalische Früherziehung. Über 8.000 Kinder profitierten in diesem Jahr von music4kids. Sie hatten Gelegenheit, sich mit Spiel und Forscherdrang der Musik und dem Klang zu nähern und selbst zu experimentieren. | Am Montag, 22. März, gab es im Mozartsaal des Zaragoza Auditorium die Uraufführung des Stückes für Symphonie Orchester "Unsere Prinzessin in einem anderen Schloß", komponiert von dem jungen spanischen Komponisten Oscar Piniella. Neu in diesem Stücki ist die instrumentale Besetzung: mit dem Symphonieorchester auch ein Akkordeon-Ensemble. Für dieses besondere Konzert im Auditorium, wurde das Orchester von fünf Studenten des Akkordeon Superior Musikkonservatoriums von Aragon, in Zaragoza ausgewählt - alle Studenten des Professors Angel Luis Castaño. Das CSMA Symphonic Orchestra wurde von Juan Luis Martínez dirigiert. Der Komponist sagte in der regionalen Tagespresse, "Meine Musik ist für ein großes Orchester, darunter ein Akkordeon-Ensemble. Ich denke, es ist sehr schön auch Akkordeonklänge zwischen den Saiten zu hören." Die Akkordeonisten waren:Daniel Pérez (Cuenca), Xabier Olazábal, Adrian Lopez und Fernando Salinas (Pamplona) und Octavio de Assis (Brasilien).  Der junge litauische Augustinas Rakauskas (erst 17 Jahre alt), Student von GRAZINA LUKOŠIENĖ (Präsident des Kaunas Akkordeon Verbandes und Professor am "J. Gruodis" Kaunas Konservatorium) ist in dem berühmten Programm "2 Minuten Ruhm"im litauischen nationalen Fernsehen besonders aufgefallen. Augustinas gelang es brillanterweise das Casting im vergangenen Januar mit seiner meisterhaften Interpretation von Vivaldi's Winter zu bestehen. Im letzten Monat spielte er das berühmten St "Figaro" von Rossinis, das ihm mit einstimmiger Jury und Zusehern direkt in das Halbfinale katapultierte. Am vergangenen Sonntag, ist Augustinas aber ein echter Coup gelungen: mit dem schwierigen französischem Stück "The Tempest" von André Astier,konnte er sich mit dem ersten Platz der Ausscheidung für das Finale fixieren. Und zwar mit einer maximalen Stimmen Punktzahl von 4566, gegen 2600 auf den Zweitplazierten. Ein Siegeszug für das Akkordeon und selbstverständlich auch für Augustinas, der sich nun für das Finale im Mai. Unterstützt wird er dabei von Frederic Deschamps, der ihm regelmäßig Ratschläge über technische, musikalische und Bühnepräsenz via Skype (Internet) gibt.  Der Akkordeonist Paul Chamberlain ist Gewinner des "Governor's Recital Prize" der Schottischen Royal Music/Drama Akademie in Glasgow, Schottland. Paul Chamberlain ist der erste Student, der klassisches Akkordeon an der RSAMD studiert, seitdem das Akkordeon in der Tastatur-Kategorie im Jahr 2008 integriert wurde. Eine hervorragende Leistung des Künstlers, diesen wichtigen Wettbewerb gegen 12 Pianisten gewinnen zu können. Im Februar wurde er außerdem mit dem 2. Platz des "Tony und Tania Webster Prize" für seine Vorführung von seltenem russischen Repertoire ausgezeichnet. Derzeit ist er in seinem dritten Jahr des Bachelor-Studiums unter der Leitung von Djordje Gajic. |

| Performances of ‘Christus Oratorio’, composed and conducted by Olexiy Suslov, took place in Wroclaw and in Pawlowice, near Wroclaw. The composition was performed by the Sinaxis Choir, Wroclaw Private Music School S-ART Orchestra ‘Harmonica’, and the soprano Anna Wilczynska. The first concert was organized by the St. Peter and Paul Orthodox Association. His Excellency Archbishop Marian Golebiewski, Roman-Catholic Metropolitan of Wroclaw, and His Excellency Jeremiah, The Orthodox Archbishop of Wroclaw and Szczecin, both took patronage over this concert. The ‘Christus Oratorio’ was performed for the second time in Pawlowice (nearby Wroclaw) by the same group of musicians. The audience were delighted with the combination of breathtaking music and astonishing architecture of Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Science. All present were moved by the performance of masterpiece of music. |

On the 25 and 26 March was held the International Accordion Montrond Les Bains. The competition included more than 85 participants from 24 different nationalities from some of the best music schools in the world. Maryll Abbas (20 years) former student of the EMCR received a 1st prize in the 3rd named Accordion Variété category and his teacher Camille Privat (24 years) also participated in the competition and won 1st Prize in the category Grand Prix Classic Concert. Team Deschamps participated for the first time at this unique international competition in France, with great success. These students had already shone in 2009, winning 14 first places and 28 placings in international competitions such as Klingenthal, Coupe Mondiale, Trophee Mondiale, Castelfidardo, Spoleto, Ikaalinen, etc..  Vivant! members Julie Silfverberg, Dee Sligar and Karen Fremar presented a workshop for the Federated Teachers of Music and Fine Arts of the Greater Kansas City Area on March 23rd. Vivanter! presented several numbers to illustrate what music is possible on the accordion and explained the theoretical basis of the bass mechanism. In discussing the history of the accordion and its development, they demonstrated the Cheng and opened up a 120-bass instrument to show the inner workings of the instrument. Then the real fun began, when five teachers were selected to put on 12-bass instruments and learn what it really feels like to play an accordion. These five esteemed piano instructors quickly dissolved into being like kids in a candy store. All at the workshop recognized how easy it would be to transfer the knowledge their piano students already have to the piano keyboard of the accordion. After only some brief training, the teachers had mastered the 12-bass button board, and they were ready to perform a few numbers together. All enjoyed the experience and came away with new found appreciation of the accordion. They were even discussing where they might buy an accordion and planning a future performance for their banquet meeting in May!! | A pop rock band will represent Slovenia in this year's Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Narodno zabavni rok’, a tune combining accordion-pop music with rock rhythm. Ansambel Roka Zlindre & Kalamari won an overwhelming 15,907 votes in a televote, far ahead of the runner-up, who received only just over 3,500 calls in the finals of the national EMA 2010 contest. This was the first time ever for the Slovenian Eurovision Song contestant to be selected only by the audience, rather than by a judging panel or a vote combining the two. Hosted by the public broadcaster TV Slovenija at the Ljubljana fairground Gospodarsko razstavisce, Sunday's contest featured 14 bands and singers. The Slovenian contestant will attempt to win a place in the May 29th finals of the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo at the semi-final on May 27th. |

 The 2010 AATA Australian International Accordion Championships and Festival is approaching and promising to be, once again, an exciting and fun event. This festival, organised by the Australian Accordion Teachers Association will be held on June 12th and 13th. Competition entries close on May 1st and entrants from all over the world are welcome. You can make your entry online. Traditionally, the most popular part of the event is the annual Gala Concert which will be held on June 13th at 2pm at the Auditorium of Club Marconi, which is a superb professional concert venue with excellent lighting and sound. The guest artistes will include John MacDonald, Nerida Farmer, John Cave, FUNKORDION, and the Accordigles Accordion Ensembles.
