 Prominent New Zealand accordionist and teacher Stephanie Poole who has taught many New Zealand Accordion Champions in recent years, will perform with the Bach Musica Orchestra (conducted by Rita Paczian) in the Auckland Town Hall, Auckland, New Zealand on September 18th, 2022 at 5pmTheir program will include: • Adiós Nonino - composed as a tribute to Piazzolla’s father Vicente shortly after his father’s death in 1959 and contains one of Piazzolla’s most famous and beautiful melodies. • Escolaso - the 4th movement of Suite Troileana composed in 1975. This piece was dedicated to the memory of Argentinian bandoneonist Aníbal Troilo. Piazzolla played and arranged pieces with his orchestra between 1939 and 1944. The mission of Bach Musica NZ is to enrich people’s lives through the all-embracing language of music. The ensemble consists of a 40 voice choir and a professional orchestra dedicated to performing a wide range of music from Baroque to 21st century. See poster for concert details. |
