 Video: Hanzhi Wang performing "Hell und Dunkel" by Sofia Gubaidulina (Arr by Geir Draugsvoll).The “Eufonija” Festival of Accordion and Chamber Music will take place from May 16th to 22nd, 2022 at several locations in the city of Novi Sad, organised by the “Eufonija” Association as part of the Matica cluster within the Heroines programme. The Festival of Accordion and Chamber Music was established in Novi Sad seven years ago to promote and develop art music for the accordion. This year’s event is dedicated to the promotion of women in art who, with their energy and commitment, have created the history of the accordion of 20th and 21st century art music. The grand opening ceremony is scheduled for May 18th, at the Serbian National Theater in Theater Square, Novi Sad, Serbia, featuring a performance by Hanzhi Wang, a Danish-Chinese accordionist, who will be accompanied by the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra. Hanzhi will perform the world premiere of “Matica”, written for the accordion and orchestra by the prominent Iranian composer Arshia Samsaminia, commissioned by the “Eufonija” Festival exclusively for this event.
