Firstly Alfredo Marroni, President of Roland Europe, manufacturer of digital accordions, was awarded for all the interest and mission that the company Roland has invested over the years, developing a new way of manufacturing and using the accordion, regarding festivals and performing on stage and the constant collaboration between ancient techniques producing hand crafted instruments and modern digital sound technology. Viatcheslav Semionov, famous concert artist, composer, teacher, from Russia, was awarded the 2013 Premio "Paolo Soprani" Award for his outstanding lifetime of dedication to the accordion. The idea of the Premio Paolo Soprani Award was born four years ago by Vincenzo Canali and Mirco Patarini, at that time in collaboration with the company Suoni Ltd, (Scandalli and Paolo Soprani), today Scandalli Accordions srl. This award is presented to individuals who have distinguished themselves in the popularization of the accordion in all its forms throughout the world.
