 The 59th All Scotland Accordion & Fiddle Championships take place in Perth, Scotland, on November 1st. The festival begins with a ceilidh at The Queen’s Hotel on Friday October 26th, from 8pm.The Saturday evening variety concert, 6.45pm, stars Pearl Fawcett-Adriano, and also includes the Bill Wilkie Accordion Orchestra, accordionists Roya MacLean, Craig Paton and Tom Orr, comedian Eddie Devine and Eddie Rose, the Julie Young Dancers, the Sandra Wright Show Dancers, and the Michael Philip Scottish Dance Band. The evening concert – always a sell out - also features a competition in which 5 players will compete to become the All Scotland Accordion Champion 2008.
