 Accordionist Gordon Pattullo and his six piece ceilidh band have released a super new CD ‘Seven Star Ceilidh’, the title of which refers to the all star band line that includes: Gordon Pattullo – accordion, Angela MacEachern – fiddle, John Crawford – piano, Brian Cruickshank – bass, Billy Thom – drums, Billy Young – guitar and banjo, and Fraser Pattullo – small pipes and low whistle.The music includes selections for the dances Gay Gordons, Canadian Barn Dance, Dashing White Sergeant, St Bernard’s Waltz, Britannia Two Step, Military Two Step, Orcadian Strip the Willow and Virginia Reel. There are also solo pieces: ‘Jacqueline Waltz’ – accordion, Dill Pickle Rag – guitar, Jig and Hornpipe – small pipes, Canadian Reels – fiddle, ‘Leaving Stoer’ – piano, and duets: ‘Kate Martin’s Waltz’ – accordion and low whistle, and ‘Will Powrie, the Angus Ploughman’ – accordion and fiddle.
