 With less than 32 days left until the 2009 Coupe Mondiale, the New Zealand public promotion campaign started with the street banner erected in Mairangi Bay, North Shore City over the weekend. This banner, designed by our graphic artist Pamela Yan, was provided by North Shore City Council as part of their sponsorship of the 2009 Coupe Mondiale. The banner will be moved to Takapuna for the week of the Coupe Mondiale, when the plan is to transform North Shore City into the "World Accordion Capital" for this international event. The North Shore City has also sent out 55,000 Coupe Mondiale flyers to every home in North Shore City area and has been a major sponsor of the world class concert venue, the Bruce Mason Center. Accordionists all over New Zealand have also been asked, to put posters and flyers wherever they can, to maximise the promotion of the accordion in New Zealand. |
