  Die American Accordionists' Association (AAA) feiert ihr 85. Jubiläumsfestival vom 12. bis 16. Juli 2023 im Marriott Philadelphia West in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, USA.Die Organisatoren freuen sich, ankündigen zu können, dass die reizende, dynamische und brillante weltbekannte Dirigentin Joan C. Sommers das diesjährige Festivalorchester dirigieren wird! Das AAA-Festival-Komitee ist ständig damit beschäftigt, neue Veranstaltungen hinzuzufügen, daher sollten Sie die AAA-Website regelmäßig besuchen. Auch die Anmeldeformulare werden bald online sein. In der Zwischenzeit finden Sie hier nur einige der spannenden Veranstaltungen, die wir geplant haben. Wir freuen uns sehr, dass der in Neuseeland geborene Grayson Masefield für Auftritte und Workshops zu uns kommen wird. Der sympathische und sprachgewandte Grayson Masefield hat bei mehr als einem Dutzend internationaler Akkordeonwettbewerbe in der ganzen Welt in den Kategorien Klassik, Virtuosität und Digitaltechnik gewonnen und war Preisträger. Derzeit ist er Instrumentallehrer für Akkordeon an der Universität von Auckland (Neuseeland). Ein weiterer besonderer Gast wird die Akkordeonlegende Joey Miskulin sein, der 2018 in die Country Music Hall of Fame aufgenommen wurde. Unser Jugendorchester wird beim diesjährigen Festival von Joanna Darrow dirigiert. Joanna hat ihr ganzes Leben dem Spielen, Unterrichten und der Förderung des Akkordeons gewidmet. Beim Bankett am Samstag wird die AAA ihren begehrten Lifetime Achievement Award an das langjährige AAA-Vorstandsmitglied Frank Busso Sr. verleihen. Frank ist seit Jahrzehnten als Pädagoge, Musiker, Dirigent und Botschafter des Akkordeons tätig. Mai 2023 in Ugljevik, Serbische Republik, Bosnien und Herzegowina, stattfinden und von der Musikgrundschule Kornelije Stankovic" organisiert. Die Veranstaltung wird Konzerte, Seminare, Fachvorträge und einen Wettbewerb für Solisten, Kammerensembles und Orchester umfassen. | Das Akkordeon Orchester Köln Deutz e.V. (Bild unten) unter der Leitung von Olga Belyaeva wird am 12. März 2023 um 17 Uhr ein Konzert mit dem Kölner Mandolinenorchester "Harmonie" 1909 unter der Leitung von Sergei Kurdriaschow geben. Die Veranstaltung ist Teil der Konzertreihe "Akkordeon und Gäste" und findet in der Aula des Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasiums in Köln statt, Deutschland.  Die West Country Concertina Players veranstalten vom 17. bis 19. März 2023 ein Concertina-Workshop-Wochenende im Halsway Manor National Centre for Folk Arts in Somerset, England, UK.Das Wochenende richtet sich an fortgeschrittene Spieler aller Systeme und ist offen für alle. Es wird Zeit zum Entspannen in den Annehmlichkeiten von Halsway Manor geben, mit abendlichen Spielsitzungen in der Bar und einem informellen Konzert der Dozenten am Samstagabend.  The 2023 Northern Ireland Open Accordion Championships were held at the Hilton Hotel Conference Centre, in Templepatrick, Co. Antrim on February 18th, 2023, organised by Clyde Johnston (picture left).The event featured a final concert which included an opening performance by the Royal Meath Accordion Orchestra (picture above). Members of this orchestra were awarded the top three prizes in the overall category for best performances: Michael Leavey, Laura Masterson and the RMAO Senior Ensemble. This popular competition had over 180 entries from “England, Scotland, Germany, the Republic of Ireland as well as a strong local contingent.” Competition classes were held for soloists, duos, groups, orchestras and marching bands for a variety of age groups.  The Accordionists & Teachers Guild, International (ATG) will hold a Professional Development Course “How to Practise” with Jelena Milojevic (picture right) on February 26th from 12 noon US Central time.In this workshop attendees will learn to structure their own practice, or guide their students to do the same, in order to always perform well. In an easy to follow, step by step way, you'll get tools to building good habits in your daily practice routine. Jelenia will cover the process from the moment of preparing to learn music, process of fingering, practice strategies, avoiding learning mistakes, addressing problems, and so much more! Jelena Milojevic is an accordion instructor at the University of Victoria in Canada. She has an extensive performing history as a soloist, chamber musician and soloist with various orchestras.  Applications are now open for the 16th Premio Andrea Parodi European Music Competition for artists from all over the world. The competition was created in honour of the distinguished Sardinian artist Andrea Parodi, who passed away 17 years ago.The 2022 edition Premio Andrea Parodi received almost 300 entries, with about half from international countries. Competition prizes include concerts and performances in some of the partner music festivals in their 2024 editions, such as European Jazz Expo (Sardinia), Folkest (Friuli), as well as the 2024 Premio Andrea Parodi as well as a €2,500 scholarship. Winner of the Critics' Award will have a professional videoclip of their competition piece produced, offered by the Andrea Parodi Foundation. The finals will be held in autumn in Cagliari, Sardinia.  Urs Lötscher (picture left) will tutor an Accordion Workshop at the Haus der Volksmusik in Altdorf, Switzerland on February 26th, 2023.“During the course you will learn to accompany a simple yodel song with the accordion. The course group is dedicated to various topics: Basic knowledge of harmony and ear training. Musical expression, sound design, dynamics, development of understanding of text in yodel songs, interaction with small yodel formations (solo, duet, trio).” The workshop is aimed at young people & adults with a playing level at least intermediate, an interest in yodeling, knowledge of sheet music and simple musical basics.  Accordionists will entertain at the “2023 Shamrock the Dock” festival held at 1 Dock St in Annapolis, Maryland, USA on March 4th and 5th, 2023.The two day music and cultural festival will feature international and local acts, including Scythian (USA – picture below with accordionist Dan Fedoryka) and Skerryvore (Scotland - picture left with Daniel Gillespie on accordion). The event will also celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a huge parade and a circus tent with music performances. |

 Die National Accordion Convention (NAA) 2023 wird vom 15. bis 19. März 2023 im Hilton Hotel in Richardson, Texas, stattfinden.Diese Convention rückt immer näher! Reservieren Sie noch heute (sowohl Hotel als auch Kongress). Das Programm und weitere Informationen finden Sie auf der NAA-Website. Ab dem 17. Februar 2023 sind es nur noch 26 Tage bis zum Kongress der National Accordion Association 2023! Die Convention ist ein viertägiges, aktionsreiches Programm für Akkordeonisten und Akkordeonliebhaber, das über 30 Workshops, zwei Abendkonzerte und ein High-Tempo-Erlebnis am Freitag mit der beliebten Brave Combo Band und dem Akkordeonisten Alex Meixner umfasst. Zwei Mahlzeiten sind inbegriffen, darunter ein elegantes Bankett am Samstagabend, und die Möglichkeit, Privatunterricht bei den Referenten zu nehmen, macht die Veranstaltung zu etwas ganz Besonderem. Ein stets beliebter Teil des Kongresses ist die Fun Band unter der Leitung von Dick Albreski. NAA-Präsident Norman Seaton (Bild rechts) sagt: "Unser Plan ist, dass jeder, der auftreten möchte, dies irgendwann während der vier Tage tun kann. Es wird auch zahlreiche Gelegenheiten geben, während der Mahlzeiten, Jamsessions und Music in the Air zu spielen. Der Swap Shop wird Musikinstrumente anbieten, und Akkordeonhersteller werden vor Ort ihre Instrumente ausstellen. Ein wichtiger Aspekt jeder NAA Convention sind die wunderbaren Freundschaften, die während der Veranstaltung geschlossen werden. Ein Kongressteilnehmer sagte, dass es nicht nur die Musik ist, die das Erlebnis so großartig macht; wenn man Jahr für Jahr wiederkommt, wird es zu einem Wiedersehen! Auf der Convention werden 2023 Versionen amerikanischer Musik präsentiert, die als heutige Musik vermarktet werden können. Diese Musik ist eine Kombination aus zeitgenössischer amerikanischer Musik, die von Einwanderern aus den USA stammt, die ihre musikalischen Werte und Traditionen mitbrachten, als sie sich dem großen amerikanischen Schmelztiegel anschlossen. 2023 Nationale Akkordeon-Konferenz Höhere Lernmöglichkeiten: Ganz oben auf der Wunschliste stehen Lernmöglichkeiten wie kreatives Denken und Anwendung von Musik, Gehörbildung, Artikulation und Balgkontrolle, Übungstechniken, Blattspiel, Musiktheorie, Aufführungstechniken und Auftrittsmöglichkeiten.
