London Accordion Orchestra, New Podcast Promotions - UK

London Accordion Orchestra posterLondon Accordion Orchestra Principal Bass player, Sam Cullen swapped his accordion for the microphone for the latest pod cast in preparation for The London Accordion Orchestraupcoming concert at Union Chapel, Saturday 1st December.

During this podcast, Sam interviewed Christian Forshaw, who was commissioned to write a piece of music in memorial of James Mullally, who passed away in 2017, a much loved member of the orchestra. This piece will be premiered at the concert.

The podcast also includes a small interview with three of the soloists Inigo Mikeleiz Berrade, Aine Mcloughlin and Bartek Glowacki who will be performing and asked questions about their chosen pieces.

Dillie Keane who is one third of the comedy cabaret trio Fascinating Aida will be joining us on stage to sing a few of her songs.

The London Orchestra is always looking for new ways to reach a wider range of people that would not normally hear about us, or the Accordion and so the podcast was created. Podcasts are not a replacement for more traditional promotional methods such as a concert poster (picture right) and video trailor (above).

Previous podcasts include the build up to our concerts at the Royal Academy of Music, The Philharmonic Hall, Ljubljana, Slovenia, and Skipton, UK, which also highlights pieces included at the Union Chapel Concert.

Sam has also interviewed Ian Watson, Musical Director of the London Accordion Orchestra, and discussed his piece called ‘flight’ the self titled CD recorded at Abbey Roads in 2016.
