On June 6th, Grayson Masefield performed the second concerto 'Viva Voce' by the Russian composer Efrem Podgaits to conclude his Masters Soloist degree, a specialised degree that is limited to eight soloists each year from HEMU (University of Music Lausanne). The concert was held at the BCV Concert Hall in Lausanne with the esteemed Chamber Orchestra of Lausanne conducted Nicolas Chalvin. It was a diverse evening concert consisting of four concertos with the other three soloists being flute, double bass and oboe. Grayson Masefield was honored to receive a 100% mark for his concerto performance and with that to successfully complete his Master of Arts qualification MA HES-SO in Music. |
