| Le 3ième festival international d’accordéon, d’art et de culture, le 3ième “Printemps de Shanghai” se tiendra en avril/mai 2021 à Shanghai en Chine et sera dédié à la Journée de l’accordéon. Le festival est une coopération importante avec le gouvernement. Cela inclue des concerts, une compétition d’orchestre d’accordéon, un stage, une foire d’accordéons, des séances de signatures de collections de partitions. Cet important évènement autour de l’accordéon sera couvert sur le site du World Accordion Day qui sera mis en ligne dans quelques jours à : 2021WAD. | La 2ième semaine international d’accordéon se tiendra au Théâtre municipal de Tylove, le théâtre Masarykova, à la maison à Kutná Hora, dans la région centrale de Bohème en Tchécoslovaquie, du 17 au 22 août 2021. Cet évènement est organisé par Prátelé akordeonu z.s. Le festival est pour tous les accordéonistes, étudiants et professeurs d’école primaire d’art, adultes amateurs et tous ceux qui veulent apprendre quelque chose de nouveau ou tout simplement être auditeur et se laisser envouter par le programme du festival. L’évènement inclura des concerts, une compétition en ligne, des stages, des cours individuels pour solistes et un orchestre de musique de chambre d’accordéon. Parmi les conférenciers et professeurs d’accordéon : Maria Cejnová, Markéta Laštovicková, Michal Karban et Ivana Laštovicková.  Le 19 avril, le Deutscher Harmonika-Verband e.V. (DHV) a annoncé que du fait de la pandémie de corona, le Akkordeon Musik Preis 2021 sera une une compétition en ligne. L’évaluation par le jury des vidéos se fera durant les dates programmées du 3 au 6 juin 2021, sans public. Les participants inscrits sont invités à soumettre leur contribution en vidéo. Le Akkordeon Musik Preis est la compétition pour les jeunes organisée par le DHV. C’est présenté comme une compétition pour joeurs de moins de 27 ans, résidant principalement en Allemagne. Vous pouvez participer avec les instruments suivants : accordéon, Styrian, harmonica diatonique et harmonica, dans différentes catégories allant du solo à la musique d’ensemble. Le Akkordeon Musik Preis a lieu tous les trois ans. |

 L’accordioniste Ghenadie Rotari (photo à gauche) fera un concert en ligne le 8 mai 2021, comme partie prenante du NexTus Festival. Son concert présentera les œuvres de trois compositeurs femmes très diverses en style : Rebecca Saunders, Natalia Prokopenko et Diana Rotaru.Le festival NexTus a été créé du fait de la pandémie de Covid-19 et inclut 34 spectacles de 60 artistes basés dans 24 villes à travers le monde, devant une audience d’internautes, sur le cours de 4 week-ends successifs. Le festival débutera le 17 avril. Ghenadie Rotari propose un prix réduit sur Patreon.com qui inclut un forfeit journalier pour le concert, évènements spéciaux du festival et des cadeaux promotionels .   The Funmantle Festival was held at the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour, Bathers Beach in Fremantle, Western Australia from April 10th to 18th, 2021.Mr Accordion Man, Frank Miranda (picture left) entertained festival goers who enjoyed a lovely sunny day of carnival rides, face painting and entertainment. |

 Organisers of the Prato Accordion Festival have regretfully announced that they must postpone the festival yet again due the Covid-19 pandemic.The new proposed date for the event is September 11th, 2021. Repnikov, was held from April 12th to 17th at the Petrozavodsky State Conservatory by A.K.   Greek composer and accordionist, Zoe Tiganouria was hosted on Iranian satellite TV Symay Azadi by journalists & presenters Masoud Farshchi and Mehran Samimi, on the channel’s TV show for the Iranian New Year’s Eve - March 21st, 2021.The interview discussed her tribute song “Revolution 1821 - Long Live Freedom”, composed by Zoe for the 200th anniversary of Greek Independence with lyrics by Tassos Theodorakopoulos and performed by Babis Tsertos. |

| The 2021 15th annual Big Squeeze Accordion Competition, presented by Texas Folklife will be held online this year. The competition searches for the next generation of accordion stars. Genres include Zydeco, Cajun, Polka (ages 25 and under) and Conjunto (ages 21 and under). Since 2007, Texas Folklife has promoted Texas accordion music genres through the Big Squeeze program. More than 350 young, talented players from dozens of Texas communities have participated in the program. Semifinals were held on April 17th and the finalists have now been announced. See list below. | Harrington ARTS Center (HARTS) and A World of Accordions Museum (AWAM) will host a live music accordion festival in Superior, Wisconsin from May 6th to 8th, 2021. This event will be held in conjunction with A World of Accordions Museum and the 9th Annual Palmer Festival. • May 5th: Band rehearsal • May 6th: World Accordion Day concerts, music and lectures will be ongoing from 10am to 7pm with refreshments available. • May 7th: 9th Annual Dr Willard Palmer Festival introduction from 10am with concerts, demonstrations, workshops, and concerts. • May 8th: Special Event open to the public – The Norsk Hostfest Polka Service Band will give an hour of folk music. AWAM’s large concert hall allows for 6 foot seating distances, and masks will be required. Tickets can be ordered or paid at the door for US$75 per day, or US$125 for the first two days.
