| 2021 Das 3. "Shanghai Spring" International Accordion Art & Culture Festival wird im April/Mai 2021 in Shanghai, China, stattfinden und dem Weltakkordeontag gewidmet sein. Das Festival ist ein wichtiges Projekt in Zusammenarbeit mit der Regierung. Es umfasst Konzerte, einen Wettbewerb des Akkordeonorchesters, einen Workshop, eine Akkordeon-Messe und eine Signierveranstaltung der Notensammlung. | Die 2. Internationale Akkordeonwoche findet vom 17. bis 22. August 2021 im Städtischen Tylova-Theater Masarykova, Dacický-Haus in Kutná Hora, Mittelböhmische Region der Tschechischen Republik, statt. Die Veranstaltung wird von Prátelé akordeonu z.s. organisiert. Das Festival ist für alle Akkordeonisten, Schüler und Lehrer von Kunstgrundschulen, erwachsene Amateurspieler und alle, die etwas Neues lernen oder sich einfach nur hinsetzen, zuhören und sich vom Festivalprogramm mitreißen lassen wollen. Die Veranstaltung umfasst verschiedene Konzerte, einen Online-Wettbewerb, Workshops, Einzelunterricht für Solisten und ein kammermusikalisches Akkordeonorchester. Zu den Akkordeon-Dozenten und Tutoren gehören Maria Cejnová, Markéta Laštovicková, Michal Karban und Ivana Laštovicková.  Am 19. April gab der Deutsche Harmonika-Verband e.V. (DHV) bekannt, dass aufgrund der Korona-Pandemie der Akkordeon Musik Preis 2021 als Videowettbewerb durchgeführt wird.Die Bewertung der Videobeiträge durch die Jury findet an den Veranstaltungstagen vom 3. bis 6. Juni 2021 ohne Publikum statt. Angemeldete Teilnehmer sind eingeladen, ihre Beiträge per Video einzureichen. Der Akkordeon Musik Preis ist der Jugendwettbewerb des DHV. Er ist ausgeschrieben für Instrumentalisten bis zum Alter von 27 Jahren mit erstem Wohnsitz in Deutschland. Teilnehmen kann man mit den Instrumenten, Akkordeon, Steirische, Diatonische Harmonika und Mundharmonika in verschiedenen Kategorien von Solo bis Ensemble. Der Akkordeon Musik Preis findet alle drei Jahre statt. |

 Der Akkordeonist Ghenadie Rotari (Bild links) wird am 8. Mai 2021 ein Online-Konzert im Rahmen des NexTus Festivals geben. Sein Konzert wird Werke von drei sehr unterschiedlichen zeitgenössischen Komponistinnen beinhalten: Rebecca Saunders, Natalia Prokopenko und Diana Rotaru.Das NexTus Festival wurde aufgrund der Covid-19-Pandemie ins Leben gerufen und umfasst 34 Aufführungen von 60 Künstlern aus 24 Städten auf der ganzen Welt für ein Online-Publikum an vier aufeinanderfolgenden Wochenenden. Das Festival wurde am 17. April eröffnet. Ghenadie Rotari bietet auf Patreon.com einen Sonderpreis an, der einen Tagespass für sein Konzert, die Sonderveranstaltungen des Festivals und einige Werbegeschenke beinhaltet.   The Funmantle Festival was held at the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour, Bathers Beach in Fremantle, Western Australia from April 10th to 18th, 2021.Mr Accordion Man, Frank Miranda (picture left) entertained festival goers who enjoyed a lovely sunny day of carnival rides, face painting and entertainment. |

 Organisers of the Prato Accordion Festival have regretfully announced that they must postpone the festival yet again due the Covid-19 pandemic.The new proposed date for the event is September 11th, 2021. Repnikov, was held from April 12th to 17th at the Petrozavodsky State Conservatory by A.K.   Greek composer and accordionist, Zoe Tiganouria was hosted on Iranian satellite TV Symay Azadi by journalists & presenters Masoud Farshchi and Mehran Samimi, on the channel’s TV show for the Iranian New Year’s Eve - March 21st, 2021.The interview discussed her tribute song “Revolution 1821 - Long Live Freedom”, composed by Zoe for the 200th anniversary of Greek Independence with lyrics by Tassos Theodorakopoulos and performed by Babis Tsertos. |

| The 2021 15th annual Big Squeeze Accordion Competition, presented by Texas Folklife will be held online this year. The competition searches for the next generation of accordion stars. Genres include Zydeco, Cajun, Polka (ages 25 and under) and Conjunto (ages 21 and under). Since 2007, Texas Folklife has promoted Texas accordion music genres through the Big Squeeze program. More than 350 young, talented players from dozens of Texas communities have participated in the program. Semifinals were held on April 17th and the finalists have now been announced. See list below. | Das Harrington ARTS Center (HARTS) und das A World of Accordions Museum (AWAM) werden vom 6. bis 8. Mai 2021 ein Akkordeon-Live-Musikfestival in Superior, Wisconsin, veranstalten. Diese Veranstaltung findet in Verbindung mit dem Weltakkordeontag und dem 9. jährlichen Palmer Festival statt. - 5. Mai: Band-Probe - 6. Mai: Konzerte, Musik und Vorträge zum Weltakkordeon-Tag finden von 10 bis 19 Uhr statt, Erfrischungen sind erhältlich. - 7. Mai: 9. Jährliches Dr. Willard Palmer Festival Einführung ab 10 Uhr mit Konzerten, Vorführungen, Workshops und Konzerten. - 8. Mai: Sonderveranstaltung für die Öffentlichkeit - Die Norsk Hostfest Polka Service Band wird eine Stunde lang Volksmusik spielen. Der große Konzertsaal von AWAM erlaubt einen Sitzabstand von 6 Fuß, und es werden Masken benötigt. Karten können bestellt oder an der Tür für 75 US-Dollar pro Tag oder 125 US-Dollar für die ersten beiden Tage bezahlt werden. Der Polka-Service ist kostenlos.
