 Aotango Quintets sold out Concert & Milonga celebrating International Tango Day was held on December 11th, 2023. The evening was in two parts, starting with a concert program of tango and world music and concluding with a milonga, open for dancers to dance a tanda (a set of tangos) or a waltz in the stunning setting of the Auckland War Memorial Museum. Aotango features Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO) Concertmaster and violinist Andrew Beer, NZTrio pianist Somi Kim, APO Principal Bassist Gordon Hill, renowned jazz guitarist Sam Swindells and world champion accordionist Grayson Masefield.
