 The festival ‘Accordions at the Castle’, organised by Heather Smith, is set for May 8th to 13th, at the Norbreck Castle, Blackpool. Included are concerts, ‘meet the guest’ sessions, workshops, Scottish dancing, a trade show, and the book launch of Rob Howard’s ‘Accordion Anthology’. The guest artists include virtuoso Pearl Fawcett-Adriano, David Vernon (Scotland), Denise Leigh (operatic soprano) & Stefan Andrusyschyn (accordion), Harry Hussey, Rosemary Wright, and Alan Young. There is a trade show plus Caroline Hunt’s large and fascinating antique accordions and memorabilia display, which is always well worth seeing. There is also an organ/keyboard festival taking place in the hotel, which has its own trade show is and is open to all.
