International Accordion Festival, Przemyśl – Polandby Rob Howard |
 In 2011 the International Accordion Festival in Przemysl, Poland, December 7th to 10th 2011 celebrates its 20th year. From its beginning, the festival in Przemysl has developed, gained in prestige, and become an important accordion festival.Artists include: The Motion Trio, an exceptional Polish music group, will start the festival off and perform along with the Przemyska Orkiestra Kameralna. Motion Trio is a real wizard at accordion music. Krzesimir Debski, a great Polish composer and conductor, will run the event. Mika Väyrynen, Finnish accordion virtuoso, will give a classical accordion recital and also be a member of the international jury. To celebrate the 90th birthday of Astor Piazzolla, one of the concerts will be dedicated to that great tango composer. For the second time Peter Soave, from the USA will perform, this time with the Rucner String Quartet from Croatia. The final concert stars Richard Galliano, a great French musician who will perform with his Tangoria Quartet.
