On December 7th, 11am, the film ‘The Art of Seduction: Teodoro Anzellotti's Accordion’ will be screened at the Goethe-Institut, 5750 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90036. Directed by Uli Aumüller in 1999, the film lasts 45 minutes, and is in German with English subtitles. The film is an in-depth look at accordionist Teodoro Anzellotti. The documentary features performances and interviews with composers Luciano Berio, Salvatore Sciarrino and Vinko Globokar. Following the film will be a discussion with Anzellotti and musicologist Luciano Chessa, and a live performance of new works by Brice Pauset and Toshio Hosokawa. The Goethe-Institut will open at 10.30 am for refreshments, and the program begins promptly at 11am. On Monday, December 8th, 8pm, Teodoro Anzellotti performs in concert with other musicians in a West Coast premiere of ‘Avant-Garde Through the Ages’, composed by Michael Maierhof, at the Zipper Concert Hall at the Colburn School, 200 S.
