‘Run For Your Wife’ (Movie) – UK

‘Run For Your Wife’ (Movie)
‘Run For Your Wife’ is a UK-made 2012 comedy film, based on the theatre farce ‘Run For Your Wife’, written and directed by Ray Cooney, and starring Danny Dyer, Denise Van Outen, and Sarah Harding. The plot involves London cab driver John Smith, with two wives, two lives and a very precise schedule for juggling them both.

Trouble brews when Smith is mugged and ends up in hospital, where both of his addresses surface, causing the police from two stations to investigate. Smith becomes hopelessly entangled in his attempts to explain himself to his wives and two suspicious police officers.

The accordion factor? Over 80 celebrities, including Rolf Harris, make cameo appearances, donating their fees to a theatrical charity. Rolf Harris is a busker, seen playing a 1920s Casali piano accordion (rebuilt and tuned by Alan Young), loaned by The Accordion Shop, Sunningdale, Berkshire.

‘Run For Your Wife’ is released in cinemas in the UK on February 14th 2013.
