Dick Contino is a famous American accordionist and singer. Contino was born in Fresno, California January 17th, 1930. He studied accordion primarily with San Francisco-based Angelo Cognazzo, and occasionally with Los Angeles-based Guido Deiro and was later to become, one of the most famous American accordionists of all time.

Read a very passionate and thought provoking "Reflections" about the one and only Dick Contino, who passed away on April 19th, written by his friend and international competition winner and virtuoso accordionist Cory Pesaturo.

Also read the obituary by our Accordions Worldwide Editor Rob Howard.
