 Leading UK accordion virtuoso Pearl Fawcett-Adriano has this week released ‘PEARL - The Jewel of the Accordion’, her first new recording in 11 years, featuring some of her current concert repertoire. As with all Pearl’s performances, her preparation and playing are meticulous, and this new CD is further enhanced by excellent studio sound quality. The tracks include: Granada, O Sole Mio, Ciribiribin, Caravan, Carmen Selection, Autumn Leaves, Fossettes, Begin the Beguine, Hejre Kati, Lambeth Polka, Sleepy Blues, Tico Tico. Pearl Fawcett-Adriano won numerous competitions, including the Junior and Senior CMA Trophée Mondiale, and her professional career has seen many international successes, including being the first Western female accordionist to make concert tours to what was then the USSR.
