Der litauische Akkordeonist Martynas Levickis erhielt Anfang des Monats die Auszeichnung „Opus Klassik Instrumentalist des Jahres 2023“. Die Preisverleihung fand im renommierten Berliner Konzerthaus in Deutschland statt. Martynas sagte: „Diese Auszeichnung ist eine große Ehre und Bestätigung, dass ich auf dem richtigen Weg bin.“ Er dankte „allen, die zu seinem neuesten Album „Autograph“ beigetragen haben, insbesondere den Musikproduzenten Vilis und Aleksandra Kerams für den fantastischen Klang der Aufnahme sowie den Mitgliedern von „Mikroorkéstra“ für ihre Arrangements von Volksliedern, die so besonders klangen .“ Das Litauische Nationale Radio und Fernsehen (LRT) berichtete, dass Martynas auch die Ehre zuteil wurde, gemeinsam mit dem Berliner „Konzerthausorchester“ unter der Leitung von Joana Mallwitz eine musikalische Collage aus den litauischen Volkswerken „Beauštanti aušrele“ und „Ruta žalioj“ aufzuführen Auszeichnungen. Erneut trat der Akkordeonspieler im Finale der Zeremonie auf und spielte zusammen mit anderen Interpreten Collagen aus George Gershwins Werken „Blue Rhapsody“ und „I got Rhythm“. |

 Die Kreuzfahrt 2024 der Finnish Accordion Association findet am 23. und 24. März 2024 auf dem Schiff Baltic Princess statt.Dieses Kreuzfahrtschiff mit etwa 2.200 Akkordeonisten wird am 23. März 2024 um 18:30 Uhr in Turku, Finnland, ablegen. Die Reise geht nach Kapellskär in Schweden und die Rückkehr nach Turku erfolgt am 24. März um 16:30 Uhr Die Baltic Princess sei „ausschließlich Akkordeonisten vorbehalten und gleicht fast einen Tag lang einem klingenden Paradies.“ „Die Musik wird von Abend bis Morgen und von Morgen bis Abend in den Veranstaltungsorten und spontan in den Korridoren des Schiffes von Akkordeonisten, sowohl Profis als auch Amateuren, gespielt.“ B-Kabinen sind ab sofort bis zum 15. 74. Perth All-Scotland Accordion & Fiddle Festival – Schottlandby AWW |

| Das 74. Perth All-Scotland Accordion & Fiddle Festival findet am 27. und 28. Oktober 2023 in Perth, Schottland, statt und umfasst auch die schottischen Akkordeonmeisterschaften. Die Veranstaltung beginnt mit einem Willkommens-Ceilidh-Tanz am Freitagabend am 27. Oktober von 20:00 bis 23:30 Uhr in der Moncrieffe Suite, Salutation Hotel in Perth. Zu den Darstellern zählen die Gordon Shand Scottish Dance Band, The Shands (Bild unten) und The Lomond Ceilidh Band. Am 28. Oktober finden die Wettbewerbe ab 9 Uhr im Salutation Hotel und in der St. Matthews Church in Perth statt. Akkordeonjuroren sind: John Carmichael, Kevin Clark, Jim Lindsay und Neil Copland. In der Perth Salutation Bar wird von 13:30 bis 16:00 Uhr informelle Musik unter der Leitung der Lomond Ceilidh Band geboten. Von 16:30 bis 18:00 Uhr findet im Moncrieffe Suite, Salutation Hotel in Perth ein „großes Finale“ statt, das „die besten Talente der Akkordeon- und Geigenszene präsentiert“. November 2023 ab 19 Uhr ein Konzert zur Feier des 100-jährigen Jubiläums der Petosa-Akkordeons im Chapel Theater, Good Shepherd Center in Seattle, Washington, USA, geben. Ihr Programm umfasst Klassik, Jazz, Originalmusik und mehr. Einzelheiten finden Sie auf dem Poster. |

| Buchungen für den Super Tag des Akkordeonorchesters 2023 sind möglich, der am 29. Oktober 2023 in der Cobham Village Hall in Surrey, England, Großbritannien, stattfinden wird und vom Guildford Accordion Club ausgerichtet wird. Die Veranstaltung sei ein „fantastischer Tag der Akkordeonmusik für mehrere Spieler“. Kommen Sie vorbei und bringen Sie Ihre Freunde mit, die Akkordeon spielen.“ Ein spannendes Musikprogramm ist geplant. In der hinteren Halle findet ein Anfänger- und Kinderbereich statt, bei dem die Möglichkeit besteht, ein Akkordeon auszuleihen, um an diesem Tag zu spielen. Dies muss im Voraus gebucht werden. Der Tag endet mit einem Konzert mit dem Super Orchestra, dem Tillingbourne Accordion Orchestra, der Watford Accordion Band und den London Accordion Players. Einzelheiten finden Sie auf dem Poster. |

 Video: Das Akkordeonorchester "China im Licht - China in the Lights" ist eine brandneue Komposition, arrangiert von Tan Jialiang, einem jungen Akkordeonkünstler, im Auftrag von Crystal Wang (Congyu Wang) vom Akkordeonorchester der Shanghai Normal University, speziell für das Akkordeonorchester der Shanghai Normal University. Bild oben: Konzertplakat Das Video stammt von einem Sonderkonzert zur Feier des Weltakkordeontags 2023, bei dem chinesische Akkordeonwerke im Shanghai-Stil präsentiert wurden. Der Dirigent Crystal Wang ist geschäftsführender Sekretär des CIA-Mitglieds China Accordion Association (CAA) und Mitglied des CIA-Musikausschusses. Sehen Sie sich Bilder des Konzerts an: 2023WAD-China Dieses Werk war Teil eines Sonderkonzerts mit dem Titel "Love for the City", das in Shanghai stattfand und bei dem chinesische Akkordeonwerke im Shanghai-Stil präsentiert wurden, die sich an dem Konzept der Shanghai-Stil-Kultur orientierten und die Quelle und das Wesen der Akkordeonkunst im Shanghai-Stil erforschten. Das Konzert präsentierte die Charakteristika der Musik im Shanghai-Stil mit einer Vielzahl einzigartiger Akkordeonwerke im Shanghai-Stil. Das musikalische Können und die hervorragenden Interpretationsfähigkeiten der Mitglieder des Akkordeon-Orchesters der Shanghai Normal University sowie die Verschmelzung verschiedener Kunstformen unterstrichen die vielfältigen Aspekte der Akkordeonkunst. The Astana Times Kazakhstan reporter, Aibarshyn Akhmetkali, featured an item on Kazakh accordion 2021 Coupe Mondiale winner, Olzhas Nurlanov this month as follows: “Kazakh accordionist Olzhas Nurlanov mesmerized the European audience with his profound performances during his September concerts in Bosnia and Herzegovina (a the 2023 Coupe Mondiale), Serbia and Germany, reported NF media. Nurlanov holds the 2021 world champion title among accordionists as the winner of the 74th Coupe Mondiale international competition. Nurlanov was invited to Bosnia and Herzegovina for a solo concert in Bijeljina and to perform with the President of the International Association of Accordionists Mirco Patarini and former Coupe Mondiale winners in Ugljevik, Kirill Rusinov, Alexander Selivanov and Grayson Masefield. Nurlanov’s remarkable artistry and technical prowess have enabled him to broaden the accordion’s repertoire, incorporating Kazakh traditional music such as Kurmangazy’s “Adai” and Nagim Mendygaliev’s “Poem-Legend of Dombra.” His program also featured classical pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, Domenico Scarlatti, Modest Mussorgsky, Camille Saint-Saëns, and Robert Schumann. He also performed works by Vladislav Zolotaryov and Alexander Kholminov, both of whom composed original music for the accordion. Nurlanov’s skills also impressed Milan Tomic, a famous musician and the organizer of the annual accordion festival in Kragujevac, Serbia, who invited him to perform three concerts in the Serbian cities of Kragujevac, Valjevo, and Kraljevo. After Serbia, Nurlanov traveled to Italy to participate in one of the most prestigious international competitions for accordionists, the 48th edition of the PIF 2023Castelfidardo. This year, 20 finalists from around the world performed live for the judges, including two solo performances and one with an orchestra. Nurlanov won the second prize. While in Italy, Nurlanov was invited to the famed Beltuna factory and he concluded his tour with solo concerts in the German cities of Heppenheim and Langenzenn. “In 2024, Nurlanov plans to tour several countries, including Switzerland, Germany and Serbia. Additionally, he is in discussions for a potential tour in China.” |

| The Aotango Quintet began their four-concert tour of the North Island of New Zealand with a performance at the Dargaville Methodist Church on October 2nd, 2023. The concert delighted the audience and finished with several encores and a standing ovation.   Die Accordionists & Teachers Guild, International (ATG) ist sehr stolz darauf, einen Dokumentarfilm in Auftrag zu geben, der die Arbeit von Dr. Helmi Harrington, einer Wissenschaftlerin und Expertin in Sachen Akkordeon und seit der Gründung Kuratorin des The World of Accordions Museum in Superior, Wisconsin, USA, würdigt. Der Film beleuchtet die Akkordeonsammlung des Museums und erzählt die Geschichte und Entwicklung des Akkordeons im Laufe der Jahre. Das Produktionsteam kommt aus Chicago - Mobula Productions - und Nikola Stojkovic (ein Student der Chicagoland Accordion Academy und ein Autor und Filmproduzent) führt Regie! Die Dreharbeiten im Museum begannen am 30. September 2023! Die Veröffentlichung des Endprodukts wird in den kommenden Monaten erwartet.
