Julien Gonzales ‘Accordion in all its forms’ Concert, London – UK

Julien GonzalesFrench accordionist Julien Gonzales, winner of several international competitions including the CIA Coupe Mondiale World Championship, will perform a concert on Saturday March 28th, 3pm, at the Institut Français (French Institute), 17 Queensbury Place, London SW7 2DT. Julian will complete his concert with a talk on the history of accordion.

The concert programme includes:
Bach – ‘Prelude and Fugue in C major’ from ‘The Well-Tempered Clavier’ – Book I, BWV 846
Rameau – ‘L’égyptienne’ from ‘Nouvelles suites pour clavecin’
Scarlatti – ‘Harpsichord Sonata for two keyboards in A minor K24’
Mendelssohn – ‘Rondo Capriccioso’
Angelis – ‘Impasse – Suite for concert accordion, 4 movements’
Franck – ‘Prelude, fugue and variations op.18 in B minor’
Mozart – ‘Sonata in Rondo K 333, 3rd movement’
Vivaldi – ‘Violin concerto in F minor RV 297, 1st movement’

Julien Gonzales is an international performer, and serves as a jury member for international competitions. Born in Besançon, he started to learn music at age 7. He graduated with honours in Musicology from the Conservatoire of Dijon where he also studied Chamber music and, at the same time, studied accordion with Frederic Deschamps at the Conservatoire of Paris until 2008. He went on studying with Viatcheslav Semjonov at the Gnessin Academy in Moscow until 2010.
