 The 6th Victoria International Accordion Festival takes place this weekend, July 19th to 22nd. The festival begins with an accordion competition, held at the Comfort Hotel & Conference Centre in Victoria.Alexander Sevastian (with some special guests) headlines a ‘Russian Night’ concert on Friday, July 20th, 7.30pm, in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Popular yodeler accordionist Kerry Christensen and sensational Russian Trio Voronezh will hit the Market Square stage on Saturday July 21, together with many other free events starting at 1pm with the Accordion Parade. The internationally acclaimed Quartetto Gelato, will highlight the festival with their concert on Saturday night, July 21st, at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church at 7.30pm. The festival culminates on Sunday with a concert featuring the competition winners in the Comfort Hotel. For further information email: contact@bcaccordion.ca |
