 On July 11th, the Denver Award Program honored the achievements of Monarch Accordions/YMA Music.The Monarch Accordion Company was founded in Denver, Colorado in 1946 and in 1976 it was purchased by professional accordionist Mike Aman. Mike Aman assisted by his wife Alice, has spent 40 years in the accordion field as a teacher, professional player and businessman. Virtuoso accordion orchestras from YMA Music School have won first place at virtually every major North American accordion competition plus many solo student competition successes. "Each year, the Denver Award Program identifies companies they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category.
